experience. We also launched an innovative culinary experience, Pepé’s Artsy Sweet Treats, in its charming, casually chic little Parisian café, Bistro Le Pew. Bistro Le Pew proprietor and guest’s favourite French skunk Pepé Le Pew invites the young and young at heart (starving) artists in, to design, create (and even take a bite out of) a double dose of their very own edible art masterpieces.
PW: Do you have any rides or attractions opening in the next year? DS:Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has been operational for one year only, and with that being the case our guests are still experiencing and exploring the different rides, attractions and live entertainment that the park has to offer. We host new and returning guests that are still getting to know the 29 rides, family-friendly attractions and live entertainment shows available at the park. Most of our guests agree that one visit to Warner Bros. World isn’t enough to experience everything the park has to offer. However, we always look into introducing new entertainment shows and experiences as well as seasonal celebrations and events. Over the past year we’ve hosted Chinese New Year celebrations, Valentine’s Day event, in addition to Batman’s 80th anniversary event.
PW: Have you found live events and seasonal special events have boosted your profile and encouraged visitors? DS: Most definitely. While our theme park is a world-class entertainment attraction in and of itself, seasonal events such as Chinese New Year or our Spring Hop celebrations create an additional draw for guests looking to enjoy festive seasons and holidays in a truly unique atmosphere.
PW: Is the concept of an indoor attraction a hit? How do you compete with other, outdoor attractions on the island? DS: Being a fully-indoor theme park has been key in offering Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi guests a fully immersive
experience as it enables us to have full control over lighting, sounds, and the overall mood inside each land. It also positions the park as the ideal place to visit year-round – whether during the UAE’s hot summers or otherwise. The Park perfectly complements the other attractions on Yas Island, including the award-winning waterpark Yas Waterworld as well as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, also a partially indoor attraction that is home to the world’s fastest rollercoaster. These award-winning theme parks are home to one-of-a-kind experiences that are bound to invigorate all the senses and create memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you're looking for a thrilling adrenaline rush or splash-tastic day out, or an adventure with some of the world’s most iconic characters, Yas Island’s two indoor theme parks and waterpark deliver a world of entertainment that is sure to delight and inspire, no matter the age or taste.
PW: What do you want your customers to come away thinking about their experience? DS: Our ambition is to create truly unforgettable moments and memories that guests and their loved ones will cherish forever. The Park’s unique and immersive atmosphere transports guests to the lands of their favourite characters, whether it’s through the sights and smells, the delectable dining, exclusive retail, interactive rides and attractions and authentic character interactions.
PW: 10. What are plans for Warner Bros’ in 2019 and beyond? DS:Warner Bros. World hosted celebrations for Batman’s 80th anniversary this September with an attempt to achieve a Guinness World Records title for the “Largest gathering of people wearing capes”. With the park being open for one year only, looking at 2019 and the years to come, we hope to continue providing our guests with a world class experience offering them a truly unique and memorable time at the park that will exceed their expectations leaving them excited to come back again.
