IGT completes acquisition of iSoftBet
IGT has completed its previously announced acquisition of iSoftBet for approximately €160 million in cash.
The acquisition more than doubles the IGT PlayDigital content library to approximately 225 proprietary games, in addition to providing a proprietary game aggregation platform to distribute third-party games, and data-driven promotional and user-engagement tools. Oakvale Capital LLP acted as lead fi nancial advisor to IGT. Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz served as legal advisor to IGT and KPMG LLP
acted as tax and fi nancial due diligence advisor to IGT.
Firon & Co. and Wiggin LLP served as legal advisor to iSoftBet. BDO Israel acted as independent registered public accounting and tax fi rm of iSoftBet.
DWG strikes deal with 888casino
Design Works Gaming has struck a deal with 888casino which has initially launched DWG content on its UK site.
888casino, which launched in 1997, was one of the UK’s fi rst online casinos to hit the market. It now offers fi ve top-performing DWG titles, including Armadillo Artie Gone Wild and Double Fancy 7s, with several rolling out over the coming months. The content is delivered via Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming platform. Troy Zurawski, DWG CEO, said: “Adding 888 to our roster further validates DWG’s games as some of the highest performing in the industry. It’s rare to fi nd a team of people who prioritize precision and quality of content the way they do, so this partnership couldn’t be a better match for us. Hammon named CEO of Relax Gaming
Relax Gaming has appointed Simon Hammon as chief executive offi cer. The former chief product offi cer will replace Tommi Maijala, who had held the position since November 2019. Maijala will remain with Relax Gaming until the end of 2022, supporting Hammon in his transition. Hammon moves into the role of CEO with great experience under his belt, having served 10 years within executive management teams
with close to fi ve of these as chief product offi cer for Relax Gaming.

iSoftBet reinforces its presence in Bulgaria with Alphabet Gaming agreement
Online games supplier and content aggregator iSoftBet has established a content partnership with Bulgarian operator group Alphabet Gaming in a move that bolsters its foothold in the region. The agreement will see a comprehensive range of iSoftBet’s most popular game releases delivered to the group’s online casino brand, Alphawin.
The latest deal marks an extension of iSoftBet’s presence in the Bulgarian market, adding to a string of recent partnerships that have strengthened the supplier’s presence across Europe’s regulated markets. Established in 2007 with a strong presence in the land-based sector, Alphabet Gaming has recently expanded its operations to cater to the online environment, having also obtained a licence to operate in Bulgaria’s regulated market.
