Hello everyone, and – as is customary – may I welcome you to another issue of Casino International!
I made the stupid mistake of trying to take some holiday during this issue. I felt super-sure that we wouldn’t go to press as planned. We NEVER do. Ish. In fact, it so rarely happens that I arbitrarily add three days to the date I’ve been told pretty much every issue just for fun. But this issue… oh no, absolute spot on weren’t we! Ensuring maximum carnage for me as I tried to complete everything in the tiny bit of time between the end of my break and the print date. Damn you organised staff, damn you!
Anyway, rant over - time to turn our attention to this issue. Fortunately, it’s a cracker, so I don’t feel bad that it took some sweat out of me.
I’m very pleased to bring you an interview with the Hippodrome’s Executive Chairman, Simon Thomas. He’s a tough man to tie down, but we were so determining to get a face-to-face with him that we shuffled off to London’s West End and even captured the full interview in-camera, so make sure you hunt that down online if you want the unabridged version.
Elsewhere this issue I talk to Novomatic Americas’ VP of Product Development – Kirubakar Santhanam – as well as gather all the latest news from our regional experts for your general enjoyment. I know Neil has a very full GIO edition for you, but I’ll leave him to intro that to you (only page 49 if you fancy a quick lookie).
Anyway, I hope you had a great April and are excited to get Spring sprung before we next speak.
