Saludos, Ricki

encouragement to the organizers of SBC Rio Summit, SAGSE South America and GAT Cartagena, who during the past month of March have given us superlative events in Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, putting Latin America at the very top of the industry. Now we are about to fly out to Sao Paulo, Brazil for BiS SIGMA South America, during the 6th-9th of this month, where the biggest in the land-based gaming sector is already beginning to show products with IGT and EGT Digital centre stage. It is worth saying that we already saw the latter set the VLTs pace in Brazil during the last event in Rio, with an impressive display of machines under the Loterj brand, which is the Rio de Janeiro Lottery. In Chile, Cecilia Valdés, executive president of the Chilean Association of Casinos and Games (ACCJ),

returns to the fray by calling for the Executive to make effective moves towards a regulatory framework that enables online gambling and betting markets to be regulated in the country, as there is a rapid expansion of the illegal digital environment in Chile. According to ACCJ, debating the problem is no longer limited to the existence of illegal platforms, but to the lack of equivalent conditions between regulated and unregulated operators, which directly affects the sustainability of the regulated industry, the ability of the State to collect tax revenues and the possibility of the government to exercise effective supervision on gambling operators. And so, we leave for BiS SIGMA in Sao Paulo, where we are sure to witness great advances in the Latin American gaming industry. See you all, there!

Cheers, Ricki
