long been recognized as the central hub of Asian gaming, with a vibrant and dynamic gaming landscape,” Yip remarked. “In recent years, the city has evolved beyond traditional casino offerings to provide entertainment for consumers of all ages.”
By co-locating G2E Asia with the Asian IR Expo, the organisers hope to reinforce Macau’s continuing leadership while creating “new and unseen opportunities for the industry.”
SYNERGY
“In this fast-moving industry, we make sure the latest trends are reflected at our events, providing suppliers with a platform to showcase solutions that drive both efficiency and revenue,” Yip explained.
Innovation at the 2026 expo will extend well beyond the static exhibits. This year, the “AI and Robotics” theme will be brought to life through experiential elements designed to showcase the practical applications of automation. Attendees can expect a “dynamic robot-powered networking area, featuring a robot bar, a robot-powered band, and interactive experiences,” offering a unique, high-tech backdrop for industry professionals to socialise.
These elements represent the growing trend of integrating automation into the hospitality sector to manage labour challenges and provide “Instagrammable” entertainment moments. This integration reflects how the traditional gaming floor is merging with broader entertainment infrastructure.

Running in tandem with G2E Asia, the Asian IR Expo provides a comprehensive look at the diversifying landscape of integrated resorts (IR). As the region’s hospitality and entertainment sectors pivot toward non-gaming offerings, the co-located event aims to connect international suppliers with the decision-makers driving multi-billion-dollar developments.

According to organiser RX Global, the synergy between the two shows creates a unique environment. “With Asian IR Expo held alongside G2E Asia, the combined event brings together a diverse range of exhibitors and business functions, creating new opportunities for the broader integrated resort ecosystem while reinforcing Macau’s continuing leadership in tourism, entertainment, and hospitality development,” the organiser stated.
The 2026 edition arrives as Asia-Pacific IR operators shift capital towards operational technology and guest-facing digital solutions. RX Global observed that “operators across the Asian integrated resort sector are investing heavily in digital innovations and operational technologies, reflecting a focus on efficiency and enhanced guest experiences.”
Diversification remains a dominant theme, as Macau and other regional hubs expand lifestyle and cultural offerings. RX Global views this shift as a significant opening, stating that “diversification presents an opportunity rather than a pressure, allowing both exhibitors and visitors to explore new solutions and shape the industry in more innovative and meaningful ways.”
