Presidente de Coljuegos declara aporte de US$980M a Salud
Durante la inauguración del GAT Expo 2026, el 25 de marzo, el presidente de Coljuegos, Marco Emilio Hincapié, informó que, desde 2022, la entidad ha transferido un total de $3.6 billones (US$980 millones) al régimen subsidiado en salud, lo cual corresponde al 41.84 % del total de recursos generados por el sector desde el 2012. “Nunca antes los juegos de suerte y azar habían pasado por un mejor momento. Ha sido gracias a nuestros esfuerzos en materia de dinamización y regulación que hemos logrado transferir en tres años casi la mitad de los recursos que ha generado el sector en toda su historia”, dijo Hincapié.
De acuerdo con el funcionario, solo en 2025 se transfirieron $1.1 billones por concepto de rentas del monopolio, recursos que permitieron brindar atención médica subsidiada a cerca de 836.000 colombianos y colombianas de escasos recursos. “A esta cifra, debemos añadir los cerca de $1.3 billones que aportaron los 14 operadores de juegos en línea por concepto de IVA. Con esos recursos, el Gobierno Nacional logró adelantar programas de paz y
reconciliación en la región del Catatumbo”, sostuvo el presidente, añadiendo: “Todo esto fue posible debido a nuestra lucha incansable contra la ilegalidad, pues nunca en la historia de Coljuegos una administración había golpeado tan fuerte a las mafias que operan juegos sin autorización”. Al respecto, el presidente destacó la incautación de 8.113 elementos ilegales en 234 operativos realizados en 20 departamentos; además de la destrucción de 12.833 máquinas
tragamonedas, bingos, módulos de apuestas en línea, entre otros elementos que eran usados sin autorización.
El presidente de Coljuegos también destacó los esfuerzos de la entidad para ampliar la oferta y dinamizar el sector con juegos como el Keno, las rifas y las Apuestas de Carreras Deportivas Virtuales (ACDV), explicando que, “El próximo 1 de abril inicia la operación del Keno, un juego que aportará cerca de COL$500.000 millones (US$136 millones) adicionales para la salud el próximo lustro. Además, ya tenemos listo el anexo técnico de las rifas y la actualización de las ACDV. Con todo esto, esperamos fortalecer la legalidad y brindar más opciones a los apostadores”.

During the inauguration of the GAT Expo 2026, on March 25, the president of Coljuegos, Marco Emilio Hincapié, reported that since 2022 the Colombian regulator has transferred a total of COL$3.6 billion (US$980 million) to the subsidized health regime, about 41.84% of the total resources generated by the sector since 2012. “Never before has the gambling sector gone through a better time, and thanks to our efforts in terms of dynamics and regulation we have managed to transfer to the health service in three years almost half of the resources that the sector has generated in its entire history,” said Hincapié.
According to Coljuegos, in 2025 alone COL$1.1 billion was transferred from the Government gambling monopoly revenues that made it possible to provide subsidized medical care to about 836,000 low-income Colombians.
“To this figure, we must add the nearly COL$1.3 billion that the 14 online gaming operators contributed to VAT. With these resources, the National Government managed to advance peace and reconciliation programs in the Catatumbo region,” said the president, adding: “All this was possible due to our tireless fight against illegal operators, because never in the history of Coljuegos had an
administration hit so hard the mafias that operate
unlicensed gambling without authorization.” In this regard, the Coljuegos president highlighted impounding 8,113 illegal gambling items in 234 operations carried out
in 20 regions; in addition to the destruction of 12,833 slot machines, bingo halls and online betting modules, among other elements that were used without licences.
The Coljuegos president also highlighted the efforts of the entity to expand the offer and boost the sector with games such as Keno, raffles and Virtual Sports Race Betting (ACDV). He explained: “From April 1, Keno operation begins, and will contribute about COL$500,000 million (US$136 million) additional to the health services over the next five years. We already have the technical annex of raffles and the update of the ACDV ready. With all this, we hope to strengthen legality and provide better options for bettors.”
