Passport Technology pledges support to second British Casino Awards

he British Casino Awards
returns to London on Tuesday 5th February 2019 to benchmark and celebrate excellence in the gaming sector – and Passport Technology is the latest industry heavyweight to show its support for the scheme. Passport Technology is a leading developer of
technology-based products and services for the highly regulated payments, gaming and financial services markets. Speaking on the company’s commitment to the British Casino Awards, vice president for international development Helen Bowditch says: “We look forward to championing the industry in this format, with the most prestigious of companies and Passport’s partners involved. “The British Casino Awards is raising the profile and visibility of this ever evolving industry and we would like to congratulate every shortlisted company, individual or client on their achievements. launched to wide industry acclaim earlier this year – has already received the backing of Everi, and TCSJOHNHUXLEY, together with the support of the National Casino Forum (NCF) and the European Casino Association (ECA) Tracy Damestani, CEO of the National Casino
Forum, comments on the importance of the Awards scheme to the industry, both now and in the future: “The awards showcase the fantastic talent in the casino sector and I am looking forward to hearing more inspiring stories from across the industry at the 2019 event. “The casino sector offers a wide variety of
exciting career paths and we are proud to be sponsoring the Diversity and Inclusion Award, which reinforces our commitment to ensuring the industry offers equal opportunities at every level of the industry, from the boardroom to the casino floor.” With the event receiving the backing of the
European Casino Association (ECA), chairman Per Jaldung says: “We look forward to continuing our support of the British Casino Awards in the spirit of rewarding excellence in the land-based casino industry. The 2019 edition will surely be as

competitive and we wish all entrants the best of success in winning a prestigious award.” There are three
stages to the British Casino Awards; the first of being the entry and nomination stage, where manufacturers and operators are
invited to enter into any of the relevant categories using the online form available on the Awards website. They can also nominate other companies and individuals for any of the categories, using the same simple online form. The deadline for entries and nominations is Friday, 30th November. The decision-making stage of the Awards
scheme will begin on Monday, 10th December – when members of the industry will be invited to submit their votes using a secure online form. At this point, all entrants are recommended to encourage staff and relevant industry bodies to support the entered organisation, product or people by casting their vote. The online vote will produce five finalists and ultimately one winner, the recipient of the highest number of votes overall. Only selected categories will be put through to
the voting stage, while others, including the National Casino Forum Diversity and Inclusion Award; the Corporate Training Investment Award; the Rising Star Award; CHIPS Community Engagement Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award will be reviewed by a specially-selected panel of judges. Finalists for all categories will be announced on 17 December 2018, before the winners are revealed at The British Casino Awards ceremony taking place in London on Tuesday 5 February 2019. At its inaugural event, The British Casino
Awards raised funds for CHIPS and has pledged to continue its support for the charity at the 2019 edition. The charity, which raises funds to purchase specialised powered wheelchairs for disabled children, has also put its name to the Community Engagement Award. Commenting the partnership, co-founder Linda Lindsay says: “We are always incredibly grateful for the way the industry has supported us; and the more people see, the more beneficial it will be for the way the public sees the industry.”
