he introduction of Spectral Technology in our validators is an important and unique technological milestone. Spectral Technology includes full spectral
imaging to validate the authenticity of notes offering exceptional protection against fraudulent and stained notes and best in class performance. Fraudulent, stained notes are a real problem for some countries, so this is something that is being requested more and more from our customers. Gaming machines are just one example of where criminals try to launder stained or fraudulent banknotes by depositing dye-stained notes into machines. This can pose a threat to Operators if they do not have the latest technology installed to combat this. Spectral Technology includes innovative spectral sensors to offer complete note image capture (highest spectral coverage) scanning millions of datapoints to authenticate the validity of notes and give the highest level of stained note detection. The NV200 Spectral is the foundation for
several of our new products in the Spectral range and using its modular design it allows customers to easily add additional functionality. This fully secure unit includes a triple lock feature and gives quick and easy access for maintenance and serviceability. Plus, the unit incorporates an SD card for data programming, and free fi rmware updates. NV200 Spectral’s cutting-edge note centring mechanism, together with 4-way barcode acceptance bring the user exceptional note handling and ticket acceptance rates. It gives
individuals and face covering detection to reject or allow safe entry into premises. Using our own intelligent algorithms, this
smart device is ideal for the gaming and amusement sector to automate accurate age verifi cation to ensure compliance and prevent underage gambling and consequently safeguard children. In addition, ICU facial recognition can allow Operators to identify VIPs and those who have willingly self- excluded or have been excluded. The product is extremely versatile and as well as being utilised for machines it can be used across many industries to control entry to workplaces or secure areas to allow or reject access. range is the Spectral Payout – a superior recycler which is ideal for high volume applications requiring multi-denomination recycling at fast speeds. An 80 note ‘true’ mixed denomination recycler the Spectral Payout can store all denominations from a given currency, eliminating coin starvation & reducing the coin fl oat level required to keep machines operational. By utilising notes for change and prizes the Spectral Payout dramatically reduces operator collection costs. Another key topic for the industry is
responsible gambling. Operators and manufacturers are keen to support this important issue to ensure player protection. There are several ways to protect customers but fi rstly they need to be identifi ed correctly. Using biometrics and artifi cial intelligence is one of the latest techniques being increasingly used and is predicated to see a surge in up-take to improve the customer experience and a means of organisation differentiation.
Our biometrics solution, ICU – Intelligent Identifi cation, offers three functions; age verifi cation to automate the controlled access to age restricted goods and services, facial recognition to accurately verify and identify

product. It boasts non-intrusive spoof detection to prevent various fraudulent presentation attacks using videos or photographs. The great thing is no specialist cameras are required for our spoof detection; it can be easily integrated with a standard camera to create an intelligent identifi er. Rather than depending on limited information from just one image, ICU has the added benefi t of using a series of images which give a more accurate and stable result for both age verifi cation and facial recognition. The multi-layered spoof detection approach takes place in the background without affecting user experience or play and therefore improves overall satisfaction.
