Juego acaba de hacerse cargo del Ministerio de Ciudadanía, su primera cartera, con reformas para desbloquear la economía que empiezan a tener urgente relevancia. Con Lira y Pacheco, los lobbies sectoriales ganan fuerza y la próxima semana, se espera que el Senado acelere el proceso de una propuesta que regule casinos, bingos y juegos de azar. Los lobistas por el Juego ya han obtenido más acceso a los comités internos.


BOLIVIA AJ denuncia a ilegal empresa de apuestas online


En conferencia de prensa realizada en la ciudad de Santa Cruz el miércoles 17 de febrero, la Directora Ejecutiva de la Autoridad de Fiscalización del Juego (AJ), Dra. Jessica Saravia Atristaín informó que presentó denuncia formal contra la empresa Sorti 365 por la operación de apuestas deportivas ilegales. Saravia Atristaín, dijo: “Se ha podido evidenciar que la


empresa Sorti 365 promociona diversos tipos de apuestas deportivas en las redes sociales, pese a saber que esta es una actividad que está prohibida en territorio boliviano, como establece el artículo 8 de la Ley 060, por lo que se advierte que la empresa estaría incurriendo en dos delitos: legitimación de ganancias ilícitas por ocultar o encubrir entre otros, el origen de sus ingresos y la fuente de financiamiento; y enriquecimiento ilícito pues los administradores de las apuestas en línea habrían incrementado su patrimonio a través de ingresos obtenidos por actividades prohibidas, situación que afecta la economía del país toda vez que las transacciones financieras realizadas por dicha empresa se encuentran exentas de cargas impositivas y no se realizan a través de transacciones bancarias, provocando fuga de divisas”. AJ, informó que se ha solicitado al Ministerio Público requiera la revisión de contratos que la empresa Sorti 365 habría firmado como sponsor de 2 equipos de la liga profesional del futbol boliviano. Asimismo, advirtió a la población que al participar en apuestas ilegales que no son reguladas pueden exponerse a fraudes y estafas por parte de los operadores.

BOLIVIA AJ denounces illegal online betting company


At a press conference in the city of Santa Cruz on February 17, the Executive Director of Bolivia’s Gambling Control Authority, Dr. Jessica Saravia Atristaín reported that she has filed a formal legal suit against Sorti 365 for illegal sports betting operations. Saravia Atristaín said: “There is evidence that the company


Sorti 365 promotes several types of sports betting on social media, despite having knowledge that this is an activity that is prohibited in Bolivian territory, as established by article 8 of Law 060. Therefore we are advised that this company would be incurring two criminal offences: legitimization of illicit earnings through concealment or cover up amongst others of the origin of income and the source of funding of such income; and illicit enrichment as the online betting administrators would have increased their assets through income earned from prohibited activities, a situation that affects the country’s economy, as financial transactions carried out by that company have no provision within the tax laws, and are not carried out through banking transactions, thereby being involved in currency theft.” Furthermore, the AJ


Executive Director has reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office the revision of contracts that Sorti 365 is said to have signed as sponsor of two teams in the professional Bolivian football league, and also warned that the public participating in illegal betting which is not regulated may be exposed to theft and fraud by operators.
