Singapore; overall, there is definitely a pickup in business here. “The good news about Asia is that there are not that many primary gaming markets despite the size of the territory, in a true gaming sense. So the operators in those markets are very familiar with Interblock and our products. We have been around here for some time, and we tend to see our customers – we have a local office in Asia – regularly. When they come to the show it’s more to share some new concepts and ideas. We brought the Big-Six wheel with us from the US but with Asian designs, for example. We brought the Bar Top over as well, and our new Virtual Blackjack. We also introduced a new Vietnam Baccarat product which customers have been waiting for. “We really consider this show a place for new

Exhibitions are not just about the customer- facing side of gaming – it’s for suppliers to OEMs as well, and it can also be a platform for the end customer to understand exactly what goes into their slot machines. Quixant has long been a supporter of G2E Asia, and plans to continue, as John Malin explained: “We have product here that we sell in to customers in the

region and we are here to look for new business. We are committed to this part of the world, and we target this market accordingly – and G2E Asia is a good platform to do that. We have supported this show for a number of years and I am pleased with the growth of the show; it’s good to see key people attending, and we can only see the event growing for us.” Part of that growth is likely to come from a
new facet of Quixant, as John elaborated: “We are well known for our control boards, and we have introduced monitors now to our range. We have a range of our own customisable monitors of varying sizes; we are thinking out of the box in terms of design, we are not a ‘me too’ monitor company. We want to add value here, we are looking to do something different and over the next 12 months you will see a brand new range of monitors that we believe will put our brand right up there as a monitor supplier as much as we are a gaming board supplier. Exciting times lie ahead.”

product line in years, Aristocrat are the slot manufacturer everyone is watching right now. Strong licenses, great own-brand product, and yes, they still have the lion’s share of the Asian
slot market, as Miguel Choi confirmed at G2E Asia. He told CI: “We still have 55 to 60% market share. Players here are used to our math models and our brands, which is why we have games here that are extensions of our brands, like 5 Dragons – here we also have 5 Dragons Grand, and 5 Dragons rapid to extend that successful brand.” The theme for visitors was all about
innovating and entertaining, and this is notable in the form of their genius new Baccarat slot. Miguel added: “We always innovate with our games – here we have Baccarat which is a slot machine where we have integrated Baccarat rules with features like slot jackpots and other things to create more excitement. It’s been launched in Australia, Europe and America, now it’s arriving in Asia and it’s been a huge success for the company. We have three dedicated themes for Asian players, and we are getting great feedback from customers.
