Aristocrat cuts ribbon at Summerlin campus A

the ribbon at the company’s new two-building campus in the Las Vegas neighbourhood of Summerlin. Participating in the ceremony


were Aristocrat Leisure Limited Chairman Ian Blackburne, Aristocrat Leisure Limited CEO Trevor Croker, Managing Director of the Americas Matt Wilson and Kevin T. Orrock, President, Summerlin, The Howard Hughes Corporation. The ceremony was attended by hundreds of Aristocrat employees,


who hosted a warm clothing drive benefitting the Las Vegas Rescue Mission as part of the celebration. Additionally, Croker dedicated the campus’ outdoor park to Dr. Blackburne, who will soon be retiring from the Aristocrat Board, naming it Blackburne Park. Wilson said: “Creating an inspiring

NCF establishes new board for promoting diversity and inclusion

he National Casino Forum, which represents the UK’s land-based operators, has launched a new initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the casino sector. DICE (Diversity and Inclusion for Career Enhancement) is a


new seven-member board, whose role will be to create greater awareness within the industry of the issue and to help operators combat unconscious bias in recruitment, retention and promotion. DICE will begin by collating data from the casino sector to assess the current employment landscape and whether operators are recruiting inclusively. It will also look at career opportunities for women and members of the BAME community within the sector and representation at management and senior management level. Chaired by Tracey Stevenson, General Manager

employee-friendly amenities such as sit-stand desks, ergonomically designed chairs, gym, meditation room, café, on-site barista, pantries on each floor, game room, bike path, and large outdoor patio/park.


Genting raise £121,000 for CHIPS S


taff from leading casino operator Genting Casino UK have raised more than £121,000 through various running


fundraising initiatives over the course of a four-year partnership with CHIPS Charity. CHIPS Charity was founded on behalf of the UK gaming industry in 2001 in order to raise funds to purchase specialised wheelchairs for young people living in the UK with varying disabilities. The wheelchairs purchased by the charity are donated to children who would otherwise have no way of getting around independently. Genting Casino UK have had a relationship with CHIPS since the charity was founded in 2001 and from 2015, a team of Genting UK staff have raised an incredible £121,000. To raise vital funds for the charity,


members of staff from the casino operator have pushed themselves to the limit by taking part in running events at home and abroad over the course of the last four years. In 2015, £18,000 was raised by the team at the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London and, in 2016, a sum of £33,000 was raised at the Rock n Roll Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon. In 2017, Genting UK staff travelled to Spain for the Rock n Roll Madrid Marathon and Half Marathon, raising a total of £20,000. They then returned to America for the Rock n Roll San Diego Marathon and Half Marathon, where the team raised a staggering £50,000.
