GSA Europe MD elected co-lead of CEN’s TC456 committee
SA Europe’s Managing Director Mark Pace has been elected by the
Comité Européen de Normalisation (CEN) to lead the creation of a European Union online gaming reporting standard. CEN has established Technical Committee 456 to create this standard in support of online gambling supervision. GSA Europe joined Technical Committee 456 as a Liaison Organization in 2017. The Technical Committee’s mandate from the European Commission is directly aligned with work that GSA Europe has already started – namely, to
create a single standard set of data elements and single standard way in which data is provided by online gambling providers to EU Member State regulatory authorities. In addition to joining and now leading the Technical Committee’s work, GSA Europe also donated their draft Regulatory Data Set and Regulatory Reporting Interface to CEN seeking to help jump-start the Committee’s work.

he mystery is solved – Gavin Isaacs’ first position after leaving Scientific Games has been revealed. SBTech, a leading sports betting and gaming technology supplier, has appointed former SG CEO Gavin as its new Non-Executive Chairman. Isaacs, who joins SBTech immediately, will use
his extensive 20 years of gaming experience across a series of senior management positions to further grow the company’s rapidly expanding US presence. Since the market opened in mid-2018 SBTech has completed and gone live with several partnership agreements with leading casinos in regulated States including New Jersey and Mississippi. “I was approached by a number of companies since leaving Scientific Games, however I chose to join SBTech due to its superior technology, high standards across every discipline, entrepreneurial approach and incredible ambition and potential to grow further across a wide variety of regulated markets including the US where I am based and have an extensive network, knowledge and experience,” said Gavin, adding: “The business has already made significant inroads into the newly regulated US sports betting market and I am extremely excited to be able to help and advise the senior management team to expand that even further across 2019 and beyond.”
