INTERBLOCK COVER STORY Key focus
Another key focus for Connelly was manufacturing the industry’s highest quality and largest portfolio of ETG products. Interblock introduced a product segmentation strategy with the goal of allowing any casino to place Interblock product on its floor. These new products and enhancements capture a wider player base through new, innovative technology designed to enhance the player experience and add a new level of entertainment to the ETG segment. Many of these new products and functionalities made their debut at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas last year. These included a three-dice generator game called Pick 2 Win Craps; a new Dual Roulette that uses two automated Roulette generators to allow up to two Roulette games on one play station at the same time; and modular Stadium configurations with dealer assist, video, and automated generators designed specifically for multi-game play. “At last year’s G2E tradeshow in Las Vegas, we
released more than a dozen innovative products, features, and side bets,” said Connelly. “It was an exciting time for us, and the feedback we received from our customers truly exceeded our expectations.” Interblock’s PULSE ARENA product, which stole
the show at G2E 2015 and G2E 2016, will return to ICE Totally Gaming in February with new features and functionalities.
“The PULSE ARENA is the result of more than 25
years of history and experience we have in the ETG segment,” said Joc Pececnik, Chairman and Founder of Interblock. “We’ve brought together every division of our product portfolio and combined them with interactivity, entertainment, lights, music, live dealers— it’s a wagering experience that players haven’t been able to find in most casinos.”
PULSE ARENA Interblock’s PULSE ARENA is a multi-game stadium
environment with a strong focus on both entertainment and engagement. It was designed to boost the gaming experience to new levels, pulling in not only new players, but also pre-existing players who are ready for a new wagering experience. “PULSE ARENA combines a gaming experience with entertainment in a new manner,” Pececnik said. “One of its key features is its ‘dynamic settings,’ which allows operators to switch seamlessly between a variety of gambling-enhancing themes to attract and target specific demographics based on the time of day, or day of the week.” With the press of a
button, the ARENA can be transformed from a high- energy club-like “party environment,” which may be appropriate for a Friday or Saturday night, to a much smoother “VIP setting” that features soft lights and low music designed to target core
gamblers who play early in the day, or on the weekdays. The space can even be themed as an educational environment to teach beginning players about the product and how to play the games, allowing them to feel more comfortable. “For as long as I can remember, both operators and suppliers have discussed what the future of gaming will look like and what that means for the gaming industry. Recent trends reveal that new and existing players are more drawn to other forms of entertainment found in a casino, such as pools, restaurants and nightclubs,” said Connelly. “We constantly strive to find innovative ways to help make the casino floor a more exciting environment, and we believe that with the PULSE ARENA we have answered that question.” Their current history of installations may be a
testament to what Connelly tells us. In mid-October, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino installed a 39-seat PULSE ARENA with seven of its award-winning bar tops, StarBar; Jack Entertainment and Greektown Casino-Hotel teamed up with Interblock to launch a 48-seat ARENA known as Synergy Table Games in November. HIT Group’s Perla Casino in Slovenia deployed its 45-seat PULSE ARENA in November, and most recently, MGM Grand in Las Vegas created a PULSE ARENA environment with 48 seats in its new Level Up Millennial gaming area. Connelly adds that Interblock is working with some of the largest groups in the world on PULSE ARENA deployments, with plans to make those announcements throughout 2017. Through constant
creativity and game- changing innovations, Interblock is proactively leading the electronic table game segment, and has positioned itself for complete global dominance in this growing area of the gaming business.
