t’s been an exciting year for Titus. It participated at Interzum and took the opportunity to introduce a whole series of new and innovative products including the T-type PressTo and T-type 170 hinges, Push Latch S2 latches with integrated damping, handle-less versions of our Slimline Tacto drawers, Slidix soft closing solutions for sliding doors, PushPlus for pocket doors, RV Push Locks and a series of damping solutions for cold
environments. “These new developments are underpinned by investments in production equipment and expanded factory facilities,” explains Titus’ UK Marketing Manager, Gary McMahon. “Exhibiting at key international shows, such as Interzum and SICAM, is an essential way for us to give our partners and potential new customers opportunities to assess products and see how they will improve the experience of their end users.”
“Now that things have settled down [since the increase in demand seen during COVID times] we are seeing stable demand across the whole home improvement sector. However, it’s a fragile situation, and there will undoubtedly be more twists and turns. There is still a large amount of stock in the supply chain, which has to be managed.”
The company has seen an increase in demand for furniture with damped fittings: “Drawers and doors that are properly damped significantly enhance the user experience, providing a

premium outcome. With our in-house engineering expertise, we fine-tune the dampers in our fittings to deliver exceptional control at all stages of the opening and closing of drawers and doors. We also build in longevity, with consistent performance over years of use. Because we design and manufacture our own dampers, we can give users premium performance day after day.”
Gary sites meeting friends, old and new, face- to-face as one of the highlights of 2023. “Also, seeing how innovative our customers are when they incorporate our fittings into their furniture to give end users an enhanced premium experience. With our ability to supply very large and smaller volumes, the customer is guaranteed to receive a consistent product time after time.” When asked what the key product in focus right now is, Gary says it’s hard to answer…
“because we never lose focus on any of our product ranges! We have the best hinge with the T-type and the best cabinet connector with the TL5 ‘Full Metal Jacket’. Our Slimline Drawer boxes, the Slidix range for sliding doors and the new RV range complement these. What we are passionate about, however, is learning about applications so that we can recommend the best solutions to help improve production efficiencies and user experience.”

Titus has just attended SICAM as well as visiting and meeting with customers to show the new products. In the background, its talented engineering team is working on the next set of innovations and product developments. 2024 will kick off with a visit to KBB (March 3-6) as Titus once again meets friends old and new as well as displaying and demonstrating its latest products. “We’ll continue working to enhance durability and improve the speed and efficiency of installing our components,” explains Gary, “and, of course, all our products will continue to be fully supported by our teams in the UK and at our European factory to give the KBB industry the fittings and components they need, when they need them.”
