Elica – Vertical and angled kitchen extraction A
s the world’s leading manufacturer of cooker hoods it is not surprising that Elica offers the broadest range of styles across all categories. This, of course, includes the “heads free” design which it pioneered.
Conventional chimney cooker hoods project up to 50cm out over the cook top and are often only 60cm above it – so right in line with your head when you are concentrating on cooking! To solve the problem of inadvertently knocking yourself, Elica developed the ground breaking angled cooker hoods starting with its iconic Om. Elica now offers the widest array of angled and vertical hoods to fit the requirements of any kitchen.
The range includes Super Plat, an ultra slim cooker hood designed in keeping with the trend for minimalism and clean lines. Super Plat perfectly fits the linear kitchen style and is available in two distinctive material finishes: all black glass and cast iron with dark grey glass. Its multi dimension fume capture ensures extraction takes place from all round the hood’s perimeter and with a maximum airflow of 730 m3/h it is super effective. Super Plat has Wifi connectivity so from the Elica App you can regulate its power level, lighting and maintenance functions.
And then there’s Rules, a flexible vertical cooker hood that will fit in with your kitchen design and not force you to design around it. The front of the hood can be adjusted on installation from 21cm to 36cm deep so that it is exactly flush with your cabinets, and it is available in 60, 90 and 120cm widths.
Its three different finishes make it perfect for smart integration in the kitchen:
– Black tempered glass, which gives the product a minimal and elegant design.
– DEKTON®, which is an advanced synthetic material often used for work surfaces that is highly scratch, stain and light resistant.
– or you can choose to have it “naked”, which allows the hood to be covered in the same material as used for the kitchen cabinets.
Behind this elegant design is a best in class extraction unit. Maximum airflow is 700m3/h. Yet Rules is a very quiet - 60 dBA at 445m3/h and is energy rated at a class leading A.
You can also make an Ascent to outstanding kitchen design. Like the other angled extractor hoods, Ascent has a strong visual impact: limited lines and a simple design are what characterise
the kitchen. Precisely because it is angled, Ascent offers total freedom of movement: it can be aligned perfectly with the cabinets, offering all the space needed to cook in complete comfort. Ascent, which is available in 60, 80 and 90cm widths, also has two extraction sources: the air is extracted both by the lower part of the extractor hood and by the front slot of the panel. It is available in black glass, white glass or a cast iron effect or zinc finish.
