Interview with Tom Pendrick, Kinedo Installer
Tom Pendrick, a highly experienced plumber and installer based in Neath, South Wales, recently made a significant move in his plumbing career by opening a Kinedo-only showroom, and he’s also established a training centre for local plumbers interested in Kinedo cubicle installation.
Q: Tom, you have been an installer of Kinedo
products for over two decades. How did you first find out about Kinedo?
A: I’ve been working as a plumber for decades,
but it wasn’t until I was looking for a solution for my own home that I came across Kinedo. I saw an ad and then went to the Ideal Home Exhibition to see the brand in the flesh, and I was impressed. I fitted a Kinedo shower at home, I later installed another and then another and so it went on. I got to the point where I only wanted to recommend and install Kinedo shower cubicles.
Q: What inspired you to open a Kinedo-only A: Before Kinedo, much of my plumbing career

involved fixing leaky showers, terrible grout issues, and, in some cases, dealing with rotten wooden walls and floor joists. It was hard work, and I’m not getting any younger. I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep on doing the same types of jobs forever. Witnessing homeowners’ anguish when their dream shower became a nightmare problem was also upsetting. You don’t get any of those leaking, grout and rotten wood problems with Kinedo shower cubicles and after a few years of using Kinedo, I could vouch for their quality hand on heart.
Q: Tell us about your showroom? A: In my showroom, Ace Inspirations, in The
Kinemagic Serenity also slots into the space of an old bath. It’s amazing to see how someone’s bathroom can be transformed in just a day.
Q: You’ve also mentioned that you’re setting up A: As I age, my goal is to transition from being
installer training at your premises. Can you tell us about this initiative and why it’s important?
primarily an installer to a supplier. To achieve this, I’m offering training for plumbers who want to tap into the installation benefits of Kinedo cubicles. Kinedo offers a tremendous commercial opportunity for plumbers and fitters. Not only do these cubicles eliminate common issues like leaking showers, but they also lead to repeat business. When one customer purchases a Kinedo cubicle, it often leads to family members or friends doing the same.
Q: You mentioned that Kinedo cubicles are
particularly effective in addressing issues like leaking showers, but what other benefits for installers and homeowners are there?
A: One of the best things for everyone involved
is that most Kinedo shower cubicles are so straightforward to fit that the job can be done in a day, including removing the old bath or shower. There’s no tiling and grouting to do, and no waiting around for things to dry. Then, once installed, you don’t get called back for aftercare issues. Everyone’s happy. A quick turn-around with limited mess and hassle, which is better for business and better for customers.
Q: What’s your experience with Kinedo’s A: Kinedo’s customer service truly sets them

apart. During one installation, I lost a blind- headed bolt, and the Kinedo technical team sent a replacement at no charge, along with a few spares, just in case. They arrived promptly the next day. The team even went the extra mile to help me obtain a seal for a discontinued model, allowing me to fix a customer’s cubicle and extend its lifespan. Everyone in the Kinedo team is incredibly helpful and responsive.
