Signs Express brings world cup project to life with Drytac
S
igns Express created graphics for an England World Cup Fanatics Show Experience, using a range of Drytac printable media and laminates.
For the installation, the client wanted the primary window graphics to be installed internally using Drytac’s ViziPrint Impress Clear, while also having the glass frosted until the launch of the store. To achieve this, Signs Express applied SpotOn White M50 to the exterior of the windows. Recommended by Drytac, the dot-pattern adhesive graphic provided easy installation and complete visual coverage before peeling away quickly and cleanly for the official unveiling. ReTac Smooth 150 was selected for the storefront branding as its thicker
film made installation easier than thinner films.
Also, Polar Choice was paired with Interlam Pro Emerytex for the floor graphics and locker wraps, providing the durability and fire performance required for high-traffic retail environments. Mark de Lancey, head of sales UK & Ireland at Drytac, added: “Installers need products that are easy to handle, quick to apply and remove cleanly after just a few days, while still delivering outstanding print quality and reliable performance throughout the campaign. “It has been fantastic to see Signs Express utilise multiple Drytac solutions across a single installation, from windows and storefront graphics to floor graphics and interior displays.

of screens in prime London locations designed to appeal to high-end advertisers at a time when OOH advertising is delivering a better ROI than any other advertising channel for luxury brands, according to data from econometrics firm Independent Marketing Sciences (IMS). Other assets in the series include The Knightsbridge, The Cube @ Flannels, the Shoreditch Stack and the Wandsworth Roundabout. While BackLite UK will handle all media sales for the site, the physical assets are owned by Wildstone, the world’s largest owner of outdoor advertising infrastructure. Eurotunnel LeShuttle and Oura have been revealed as the first brands to advertise at the site. David Peters, head of specialist and agency at BackLite UK, said: “Chiswick Towers deliver exceptional visibility among commuters, business travellers and international visitors between Heathrow and central London, and we are already seeing high-profile brands take advantage of that reach. “Their addition marks another important milestone in BackLite UK’s continued investment in and expansion of its Landmark Series across prime London locations.”

Canon and RSBC create tactile exhibit
Canon partners with the RSBC to create a new photography exhibition
C
anon UK & Ireland has partnered with the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC) to create a tactile
photography exhibition. The portraits from a previous Canon
Young People Programme workshop have now been transformed into tactile relief prints using Canon’s elevated printing technology. Produced on the Canon Arizona 2380 XT using PRISMAelevate XL software, the process uses carefully developed height maps and multiple layers of UV-curable ink to create raised textures that can be explored by hand. Sarah Mallion, vice principal/head of business and operations at RSBC, said the response from students and their families had been “overwhelmingly positive.”
