Fujifilm Ink strengthens OEM partnership with China Print Supplies UK

F

ujifilm Ink has strengthened its partnership with China Print Supplies UK (CPS), becoming the recognised ink partner for the company’s range of Dlican UV printing systems. Building on the rollout of Fujifilm Ink’s thermoforming flexible ink technology, the agreement extends the company’s supply of wide-format UV inks across the Dlican portfolio.

The decision to partner with Fujifilm Ink reflects CPS’s commitment to supplying premium-quality products backed by exceptional service and long-term reliability. Scott Clutton, managing director at China Print Supplies UK, said: “Providing

long-term support, along with guaranteed availability of consumables such as ink, is hugely important to us as we continue to grow our business and reputation. “Knowing the ink is manufactured here in the UK by Fujifilm made the decision even more of a no-brainer.” Fujifilm Ink’s UK manufacturing capability, combined with decades of expertise in UV ink chemistry, gives OEM partners such as CPS access to a secure global supply chain, consistent quality and long-term regulatory compliance. Shaun Holdom, commercial director at Fujifilm Ink, added: “By working closely with China Print Supplies from the earliest stages of development,

Fujifilm Ink will provide UV ink solutions across CPS’s Dlican portfolio

we’ve been able to optimise our UV ink platform specifically for their technology. “The result is a solution that delivers the performance, reliability and application flexibility their customers need, while helping China Print Supplies differentiate itself in an increasingly competitive market.”

YPIPP encourages creativity through a new campaign Y S

oung People in Print & Packaging (YPIPP) is raising awareness about opportunities in the industry with a new project aimed at pupils of all ages. The Love Our Landmarks campaign will

give young people a chance to interact directly with an industry that plays a constant role in their lives. Pupils will design a postcard featuring a UK landmark that is special to them in some way and then write about their connection to the place they’ve chosen. A local print company will then print four to six copies of each postcard for the

pupil to keep or post themselves. When a school registers interest in the campaign, the YPIPP team will match them with a company that will print the postcards. They will also provide schools with

contact details for future engagement opportunities, such as school visits and work experience pathways. Paul Stead, co-founder of YPIPP, said:

“The Love Our Landmarks campaign is a fabulous campaign that lets young people engage directly with the print and packaging industry in a way that’s fun for them. “The print and packaging industry needs

a new generation to take the helm; we hope initiatives like this will pave the way for that change.”

Siegwerk reaches major decarbonisation milestone

iegwerk announced that in 2025 it was powered by 100% renewable electricity across its

global operations. This achievement marks another important milestone in the company’s HorizonNOW 2030 sustainability agenda. Since initiating its transition to

renewable electricity in 2021, Siegwerk has continuously expanded its green electricity footprint worldwide and in 2023 it achieved 100% global renewable electricity coverage and has maintained coverage since. These include on-site solar installations; the purchase of unbundled energy attribute certificates; the switch to

green electricity tariffs; and the selection of renewable energy providers.

All of these efforts have collectively strengthened the company’s overall operational sustainability and reduced its carbon footprint across continents.

Alina Marm, head of global

sustainability at Siegwerk, said: “Operating on 100% renewable electricity worldwide is an important milestone for Siegwerk and a strong signal of our dedication to climate action.” “At the same time, we know that credible climate progress requires

continuous investment, long-term thinking, and concrete actions throughout the entire value chain. This achievement is therefore not the end of a journey, but another step forward.”
