Installers and apprentices who want to show off their skills and compete for industry honours are encouraged to participate in Installer Awards 2027, now open for entries. The awards bring together the long-running Heating Installer Awards and The Plumber Awards, celebrating excellence, innovation, technical skill and customer service across the building services sector. Past winners report a lasting impact. Many have


seen their business grow, with invitations to quote for bigger jobs, less worry about their pipeline of work, and a community made just for installers.


Hitting the target in a new roadshow


A nationwide installer roadshow has been launched by Ideal Heating in partnership with Plumb Centre, Fernox and Wera Tools, which will combine hands-on product experience, technical expertise, competitions and exclusive rewards for installers. The events run at darts venues across the UK from


September to November. Installers can enjoy an evening of virtual darts and a speed boiler strip- down challenge, and chat with experts from the partner companies. Attendees can also try the Logic MAX boiler and Logic Air heat pump and ask the people behind them questions. Scores from the two challenges feed a national


leaderboard, and one installer will be crowned Ideal Throwdown Champion. The winner gets four tickets

The Heating Installer Awards is now in its 12th year,


while The Plumber Awards returns for a second year after launching in 2026. Entrants compete regionally first, then winners go head to head for the national titles of Heating Installer of the Year and Plumber of the Year. This year’s awards also include a joint Apprentice
