PHAM NEWS | OCTOBER 2026 38 Product News Oil tank is slimmed down
Designed for properties where space is limited, the Tuffa 1250SLB Ultra Slim Tank has a width of 600mm while providing 1,250 litres of oil storage capacity. Its narrow profile can help make
delivery and installation possible in locations where access is restricted, including through standard garden gates and along narrow pathways. The tank is the latest addition to
Tuffa’s domestic heating oil range. The company has phased out its petrol and large commercial steel tank ranges as it focuses production
on its core domestic products. Tuffa is continuing to
manufacture its FirePro fire-rated oil tank range for installations where additional fire protection is required. The 1250SLB is designed to
provide a higher storage capacity without requiring the footprint of a wider tank. Its 600mm width may be particularly relevant for installers working on properties with limited outdoor space or restricted access. ◼

Cast iron radiators with more to offer
The Aston radiator from The Radiator Company combines traditional style with a high level of finish and design detail. Now available in four new finishes, specifiers can select from Smoked Grey, Velvet Black, Foundry Iron and Stone White in addition to the standard colours. Each cast iron Aston radiator is hand-finished to highlight the material’s natural depth and texture. “The epitome of traditional
heating, cast iron radiators are a must for any period restoration
Flush system helps meet efficiency requirements
Vado’s concealed cisterns, pneumatic flush plates and WC frames are designed to help installers and specifiers meet water-efficiency requirements while providing flexibility in installation and bathroom design. Toilet flushing accounts for
around 25% of average daily household water use in the UK, according to SES Water. Vado’s dual flush system allows flush volumes to be reduced from the standard 6/3 litres to 4/2.6 litres, providing a route to compliance with Part G of the UK Building Regulations. Jordan Cook, head of product
management at Vado, says: “Water regulations rightly continue to tighten, and specifiers need products that make compliance simple rather than something to work around. We designed our flush systems so reducing volume to meet Part G is a straightforward option, not a compromise on how the product looks or performs.” The reduced setting saves 1.2
litres per flush, equivalent to around 2,190 litres a year based on
five flushes per person per day. Vado’s pneumatic flush
plates have finished internals and are available with round or rectangular buttons in a range of finishes. The WC frames use corrosion-resistant steel, support up to 400kg and offer up to 250mm height adjustment. The range is WRAS-approved, complies with EN 14055:2018 and carries a six-year guarantee. ◼

Wall-hung WC is a one-person installation
The new generation of Laufen’s PRO collection includes EasyFit 3.0, a top-mounting fixing system for wall-hung WCs designed to allow installation by one person. Installation involves securing the mounting plate to
the wall, hooking in the fastening elements to match the hole spacing, then sliding the toilet into position. The element is dropped into the mounting holes from above and tightened using an Allen key. The system requires minimal tools and allows work to be carried out from above rather than at floor level. The seat and lid fastening allows 7mm of movement
in all directions to accommodate ceramic tolerances. PRO X is compatible with existing PRO A and PRO S schemes, while its basins work with BASE 2.0 and JUNA furniture. The WC range is rimless and features SilentFlush 2.0, with sound-insulation pads for wall-
mounted units. The collection is designed for both new installations
and retrofit projects. ◼
