Pressing tool designed for ease of handling
To complement its own range of jaws and fi ttings, Instantor has introduced the Instantor Press Tool, which uses a brushless, direct drive motor rather than a traditional hydraulic mechanism. This design is said to improve durability and reduce maintenance requirements. The tool is compatible with Instantor jaws, battery packs and fi ttings, including TH and M jaws used with the company’s copper and stainless steel press systems. To aid users in day-to-day
work, the tool features a digital OLED screen that displays the number of presses, remaining battery life and any operational faults. It also incorporates a press completion indicator, giving a green light when a fi tting has been successfully pressed and red if the press is incomplete. An integrated work light and a swivel head are included to support use in spaces where access is limited or visibility is poor.
For handling, the tool has a
revised ergonomic design with non-slip grips and balanced weight distribution, allowing for single-handed operation. It is also supplied with a carry strap. Instantor provides a three-year warranty on the product. This model is available
exclusively through Instantor. ◼

Pipe cutter delivers on cutting and chamfering
Combining cutting and chamfering in one tool, the new KNIPEX DPT50 pipe cutter is purpose-built for thick-walled plastic pipes commonly used in wastewater systems and industrial installations. The DPT50 is suitable for PVC, PP
and PE pipes with diameters of 32, 40 or 50mm and wall thicknesses
from 2.5 to 3.5mm. Instead of using two separate tools for cutting and bevelling, it performs both
Compact drilling
Milwaukee has introduced three additions to its M12 cordless range: the M12 Compact Brushless Percussion Drill, the M12 Compact Brushless Drill Driver and the M12 Compact Brushless Impact Driver. All three are designed with smaller form factors than earlier brushed models while retaining compatibility with the existing M12 battery platform, which currently powers more than 120 tools in the series. The compact drill driver measures 137 mm in length
and delivers 40 Nm of torque, while the percussion drill is 142 mm with the same torque rating and a percussion rate of up to 23,250 blows per minute. The impact driver is the most compact at 109 mm and provides 124 Nm of torque with an impact rate of up to 4,000 blows per minute. Weights with battery packs range from 0.78 kg for the impact driver to 1.1 kg for the drill models.
Ties and fi xings support masonry
Now available from Keyfi x is a range of wall ties and fi xings designed to align with current UK building regulations on fi re safety and structural integrity. The range includes masonry- to-masonry ties, frame cramps, timber frame ties and a channel restraint system, all manufactured in non-combustible stainless steel across a variety of sizes.
Classifi ed under PD 6697:2019 and BS 5268, these products support secure and durable masonry construction. ◼

operations together, saving time and increasing consistency across installations. Its multi-part blade produces a clean, accurate edge that improves pipe fi tting and helps adhesives spread evenly, lowering the risk of leaks. A spring-loaded blade keeps pressure consistent, while self-adjusting guide rollers stabilise the pipe without obscuring the cut line. Lightweight but durable, the tool
uses a reinforced housing designed to withstand site use. A replaceable, double-sided blade extends service life and can be changed quickly without additional tools. ◼
