System boiler brings the benefi ts
The NCB500 system boiler has been designed by Navien to help homeowners benefi t from all the advantages of its NCB500 combi boilers, such as a 10-year warranty, stainless steel heat exchanger and cupboard fi t dimensions. This system boiler is off ered as a cost- eff ective heating solution, particularly for properties that already have a hot water cylinder. This new system boiler
builds on Navien’s existing product lineup, which includes the NCB-Ce gas boilers launched in 2014. The new model features a stainless-steel heat exchanger, which contributes to its durability and lifespan. It operates with a fully modulating feature that allows it to adjust outputs between 15 and 30kW, accommodating various household sizes and installation needs. This fl exibility is further enhanced by its lightweight design, making it suitable for installation in compact spaces like kitchen cupboards or utility areas. The boiler also includes an NG and LPG conversion kit, facilitating
installation in homes without mains gas access. The intuitive text- driven display seamlessly integrates with Navien’s Smart Plus controls, allowing homeowners to monitor their energy usage and achieve optimal performance with greater ease. This feature is benefi cial in areas with fl uctuating water pressure, ensuring a reliable supply of hot water. Graham Parkes, commercial director at Navien UK, says: “We’re
delighted to be adding the NCB500 system boiler to our already impressive product lineup. This addition off ers installers an extended range of solutions to suit the needs of their customers.” ◼

The Yutaki M Series 2 monobloc air-to-water heat pump has been launched by Hitachi Cooling & Heating. This system is designed to provide energy- effi cient heating, cooling and domestic hot water in a compact unit, making it suitable for small homes and new builds. The Yutaki M Series 2 is available in models ranging from 4.3 to 8kW, allowing for fl exibility in installation where indoor space is limited. The monobloc design houses all
components in a single outdoor unit, simplifying installation by eliminating the need for refrigerants indoors. It is compatible with various heating emitters, including underfl oor heating and radiators, and can be paired with a hot water tank for added convenience. The system operates quietly, with sound levels as low as 30 dB(A), and features a night mode to further minimise noise.
Natural wellbeing at heart of the bathtub

Advanced fi ltration device for heat pumps
The Genesis Heat Pump Filter from Trappex has been designed specifi cally for air source and ground source heat pump systems. The fi lter is available in a 28mm size and works to protect these systems from sludge, scale and magnetite, which can aff ect their performance due to operating at lower temperatures. The Genesis fi lter features full-bore valves to maintain fl ow
rates and minimise pressure drops, along with a robust brass body and a powerful neodymium magnet for eff ective debris capture. Its compact design allows for fl exible installation in various confi gurations, and it includes a drain valve. ◼

Single-solution sealant and adhesive
Designed to streamline on-site work by replacing the need for multiple products, CT1 is a construction sealant and adhesive developed using a proprietary TRIBRID technology. Off ering a combination of strong bonding performance and high fl exibility, the formulation is said to deliver three times the bonding strength of conventional sealants, while also accommodating 250% more elongation. This allows it to cope eff ectively with the kinds of movement caused by vibration or changes in temperature, making it suitable for a wide range of building and maintenance tasks. Typical uses include sealing and bonding
in roofi ng, drainage, heating systems and general fi t-out projects. It adheres securely to a variety of substrates without the need
for primers, saving time and reducing waste. With a focus on durability, it is designed to provide long-term results across internal and external applications. CT1 also addresses growing concerns
around safety and environmental impact. It contains no solvents, isocyanates, silicones or volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and is odourless. This makes it a safer choice for both installers and building occupants, particularly those with sensitivities such as asthma or skin conditions. It is GEV EMICODE EC1 Plus certifi ed for low emissions and compliant with BREEAM, WELL and LEED standards, helping project teams meet sustainability targets without compromising performance. CT1 is now distributed through BSS.
The partnership will improve access to CT1 across the UK and Ireland, with BSS off ering logistical support and availability through its established network. ◼
