Partner for the Zeno air source heat pump range

The Nero Heat Pump Cylinder has been developed by Warmfl ow to complement the company’s Zeno air source heat pump, providing an effi cient and reliable solution for domestic hot water. The cylinder is available

in four sizes ranging from 170 to 290 litres, catering to a wide range of heat pump installations. The heat pump models are equipped with a high performance plate heat exchanger and a large surface area, resulting in impressive heat-up times. For example, the 170 litre model can reach a temperature of 60ºC from cold in just 25 minutes. The cylinders are designed

to be directly fed from the mains water supply through the supplied inlet group. The inlet group is capable of handling incoming water at pressures of up to 16 bar, ensuring reliable operation. Warmfl ow’s Nero hot water cylinders are engineered to minimise

heat loss and maximise heat retention, resulting in reduced energy consumption. They are now available in kits alongside Warmfl ow’s Zeno air source heat pumps. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/224/64

Filtration products for commercial applications

The Trappex Commercial Filters range from Arctic Hayes is designed for systems in commercial and local authority buildings. By consistently capturing and removing sludge and limescale, the fi lters prevent these substances from settling within the system and causing blockages. This ensures that the heating system continues to operate effi ciently and avoids breakdowns, saving the associated costs to businesses and local authorities should the worst happen. “With energy costs so high,

Fire stopping solutions for plumbing

As a provider of passive fi re stopping products, Norseal off ers tailored solutions for plumbing contractors by using its expertise in supplying intumescent fi re and smoke seals to the door and glazing sector and applying that knowledge to a line of fi re stopping solutions for the plumbing industry. The Norseal FireStopping range includes products designed to fi t

snugly around pipes that penetrate concrete and masonry walls and fl oors. These have been engineered to reinstate the fi re resistance of various structures and are particularly useful for the pipes found in soil, waste, drainage, and HVAC systems. The pipe wraps contain Pyroplex intumescent

graphite within a self-adhesive sleeve, suitable for pipes ranging from 55 to 160mm. These require no secondary fi xings, allowing easy installations in tight corners or against walls, areas where it’s often challenging to fi t a traditional fi re collar. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/224/65

Kit specially designed for fl ues in high rises

Keston has introduced a new stainless steel High-Rise Flue Kit that complies with Building Regulations and fi re safety standards. The kit is suitable for high-rise buildings in England and Wales (above 18m), and Scotland (above 11m). It is made of high quality 316 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance. Compatible with the Keston Combi 2 and System 2 boiler

ranges, which off er a versatile solution for new and replacement heating systems, the new fl ue kits enable straightforward connection to Keston approved MuPVC/PVC-C fl ue systems within buildings. Containing an air outlet and fl ue terminal, each kit also

contains fi ttings and thread sealant to provide heating engineers with a simple and versatile solution. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/224/66

no commercial or local authority client wants a heating system running below par, so we added these fi lters to our product range so that engineers can add value into their customers’ heating systems,” explains Lee Parsons, CEO of Arctic Hayes. “Installer friendly, they are simple to fi t and remove sludge, protecting boiler and heat cells to prolong the effi ciency of the system.” The Trappex Centramag Maxim

is available in 1", 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" pipe diameters. With a robust brass construction, the fi lter removes both magnetic and non- magnetic dirt and uses a 10,000 Gauss magnetic fi eld technology for fast dirt separation. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/224/67

Conditioner takes on hard water areas

The accessory line available from Salamander Pumps has been enhanced with the launch of three new water conditioners. Designed to effi ciently treat hard water throughout the entire household, these water conditioners will limit scale build-up and prolong the life of water-using applications and heating systems. With almost 80% of UK homes experiencing

hard water, these water conditioners have been introduced to address the growing demand for effi cient water treatment solutions to overcome the increased energy consumption, running costs and maintenance associated with hard water.

Operating without the need of a power supply,

these new water conditioners off er a solution to hard water issues as they provide options for whole house and single outlet water supply treatment. The water conditioners are said to be both cost-

eff ective and environmentally friendly, foregoing the use of chemicals or salt in their operation. The inline design facilitates easy installation, and their maintenance-free capability, coupled with zero ongoing running costs, adds to an economical and effi cient solution for water treatment needs. The water conditioners also come with a 10-year warranty, ensuring long-term performance and compliance with Part L Building Regulations. ◼ phamnews. co.uk/224/68

More larger size radiator options from Stelrad

As part of its programme of providing radiators to operate well with renewable heating systems – powered by air source and ground source heat pumps - Stelrad recently launched a range of 900mm high radiators in a variety of widths. As a result of the popularity

of these new 900mm high radiators the company has now announced that it has added the models to the Vita, Softline and Henrad ranges in the Stelrad Group portfolio. Head of marketing Chris

Harvey explains: “There is a clear need for larger size radiators to cope with the lower circulating system temperatures

generated by renewable heating systems and we are making sure our installer and specifi er customers have access to the full range of options they will need in the months ahead. “The transition from fossil

fuelled, boiler driven systems to heat pump driven renewable systems is well underway and we’re making sure that installers and specifi ers realise fully that radiators are ‘fi t for the future’ and more than capable of providing the necessary heat around the home – radiators need to be sized properly as always to provide suffi cient heating capacity.” ◼ phamnews.co.uk/224/69
