Luxury self build property benefits from monobloc heat pump
A self-build property in Peasenhall, Suffolk, has undergone a sustainability transformation with the installation of a Baxi HP40 Monobloc Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP). The 2600ft2
luxury
home, owned by Jonathan and Emma Hayes, required an off- grid heating system that would improve energy efficiency and minimise its environmental impact. Renew East, a renewable heat
specialist, recommended the Baxi ASHP for its energy-saving capabilities. The 11kW Baxi HP40 Monobloc heat pump, combined with a 250 litre hot water cylinder, efficiently feeds the underfloor heating system, providing consistent warmth even at temperatures as low as -5˚C. The user-friendly interface of the system control panel
High efficiency air con system delivers for Hackney Depot
London’s Hackney Depot, a former bus depot, has been transformed into a creative space for local artists and makers, with help from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioning Europe (MHIAE) . Kent based air
and integration with Baxi’s uSense smart room thermostat allows the homeowners to have complete control over their home’s temperature. The Baxi monobloc design
facilitated a smooth installation process, as key components were housed in the main outdoor unit, saving valuable indoor space and streamlining the installation. Renew East benefited from Baxi’s comprehensive support services, including training on heat pump design and application, as well as supervision from expert heat pump engineers during the commissioning phase. Luke Nicholls, director of
Renew East, praised the ease of installation and the prompt support provided by Baxi. “We really enjoyed working on
this installation and it has been very easy compared to most. The monobloc design is a great option when there is limited space in the home and it was very quickly and easily installed. The intuitive, user-friendly controls also mean the customer has complete control over their new system now the property is handed over. “The top-notch extra support
Baxi has given has also helped the project to run like clockwork.” ◼

conditioning specialists, Doveley Air, specified and installed a system that was in keeping with the ethos of the project. Low global warming potential products were selected that operate with R32 refrigerant and can still provide heating at -20˚C ambient temperature. System efficiencies are as high as ERP A++ with energy efficiency ratios and coefficient of performance rated as high as 4.49 and 4.37 respectively. A collection of 4-way cassettes of varying capacities are spread throughout the building, each connected to an MHIAE RC-EX3A eco-touch screen wired remote controller. System efficiency is improved, and operating cost reduced with
additional motion sensors that are installed in the cassette fascias. These motion sensors can be set to either adjust desired room setpoints depending on occupant movement, or used to place the unit in standby. ◼
