Flexibility and sustainability at heart of updated boiler

An updated version of the Remeha by Baxi Quinta Ace commercial boiler series has been introduced, offering a range of new features, and is now available with aluminium and stainless steel heat exchanger options. Available from April, the new

Quinta Ace will include an all-new, optional gas adaptive kit for biogas to support the transition towards a net zero heating system. Sustainability has also been prioritised in the new-look premium design to achieve a reduced life cycle assessment (LCA) using a lower carbon ABS plastic boiler cover, recycled packaging and updated manuals. James Matthews, director of building solutions

at Baxi, says: “As building owners and managers look to reduce the carbon intensity of the heating system, hybrid systems are seen as an achievable step on the decarbonisation roadmap by many. Capable

of operating at 40°C temperature differentials, the Quinta Ace is a versatile choice in hybrid solutions,

working alongside renewable technologies like our Auriga air source heat pump range to meet peak heat demand. Now, with its new gas adaptive feature, the new and improved Quinta Ace offers the future option to switch to low carbon biogas to achieve full heat decarbonisation.” Offering a flexible design,

the next generation Quinta Ace is available in 15 outputs from 30 to 160kW (up to 1,200kW in cascade). For ease of specification, installation, operation and maintenance, the new Quinta Ace range uses the same Ace control platform, the same performance level

controls, and the same standardised cascade sets and flue systems. Additional enhancements include a newly visible human interface unit for more intuitive operation and quick-connect plug-and-play connectors for faster installation. Fully backwards compatible for ease of replacement, the new Quinta Ace is supported by a 7-year warranty and year-round 24/7 customer support. The new Remeha by Baxi Quinta Ace is available

to quote now and to buy from April 2025, with free commissioning offered for the first three months. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/225/66

Shower tray that’s more eco-friendly

Designed with sustainability and practicality in mind, Ideal Standard’s new UltraFlat Evo is a shower tray manufactured from StoneTech, a material that includes 35 to 40% recycled content. The trays are fully recyclable and free from fibreglass, and at the end of their life they can be repurposed for uses such as road construction. StoneTech also reduces resin use by approximately 45% compared to traditional acrylic trays while maintaining durability. The trays feature a fine-

grain textured surface, providing a smooth, matt finish that mimics natural stone. This texture offers Class C slip resistance, the highest level of safety,

without requiring additional treatments. The bacteriostatic surface enhances hygiene, offering built-in protection against bacteria and ensuring easy cleaning. Available in 26 sizes, the

UltraFlat Evo range offers flexibility for bathroom designs. The trays can be trimmed on all sides to fit custom spaces and have a slim 35mm profile, allowing for flush or above- floor installation. They resist discolouration from prolonged exposure to light and are packaged using fully recyclable, plastic-free materials. UltraFlat Evo is part of the

UltraFlat family of shower trays, which also includes UltraFlat S+ and UltraFlat S i.life. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/225/67

Monobloc for heating, cooling, hot water

The Aquasnap 30AWH-M is Carrier Solution’s air-to- water monobloc heat pump designed for residential and small business use, to deliver efficient heating, cooling, and domestic hot water solutions for both new builds and retrofitted properties. The unit operates using R32 refrigerant, which has a

lower global warming potential compared to traditional refrigerants, helping it meet current environmental regulations. It offers a high leaving water temperature of up to 65°C and remains effective even at outdoor temperatures as low as -15°C. Its energy efficiency achieves A+++ and A++ ratings for heating at 35°C and 55°C, respectively. The system is available in 10 models, with capacities

ranging from 4 to 16kW, and is compatible with a variety of heating emitters, including UFH, radiators, and fan coil units. It features DC twin-rotary compressors and variable-speed fans, which contribute to quieter operation and optimised air distribution. Up to six units can be cascaded for larger heating demands.
