Enhanced model delivers a superior performance
Built on the success of its Greenstar 8000 boiler, the Greenstar 8000+ from Worcester Bosch is said to deliver enhanced capabilities for home heating while setting a higher standard for boiler reliability and quality. The combi boiler range off ers improved functionality, upgraded
technology and a modern design to make it an attractive option as either a replacement for older boilers or installation in a new home. Capable of delivering fl ow rates of up to 18 litres/min, improvements
on the previous model include superior heating output for larger homes and high-demand environments and a new touchscreen display with backlit touch buttons, which is said to be more intuitive and user- friendly. The Greenstar 8000+ also comes with a 12-year warranty for extra
Compact unit is ideal for smaller properties
The new Vitodens 024-W wall- mounted combi boiler from Viessmann comes in 24 and 28kW
sizes. The compact unit (300 x 400 x 700mm) features a high effi ciency circulation pump and is said to be ideal for apartments or single-family homes. The boiler operates with a
corrosion-resistant, stainless steel Inox-Radial heat exchanger which effi ciently converts energy into heat and helps to ensure a long service life, while the Matrix-Plus burner minimises emissions and provides a modulation range of 1:5. For ease of installation, the boiler can be fi tted in small
Boiler will meet high hot water demand
Combining the effi ciency of a gas boiler with the convenience of a cylinder in one compact wall-hung unit, the Superfl ow boiler from Intergas has been designed to meet the needs of large residential homes as well as applications such as restaurants, cafes and beauty salons.
Oil boiler reduces running costs
Navien’s HVO compatible LCB700 Blue Flame oil boiler uses the latest blue fl ame burner technology to help households save money on their fuel bills. The LCB700 off ers an A+
energy rating when installed with Navien’s Smart Plus Controller, producing a NOx emission rate as low as 57.2mg/kWh – one of the lowest in the industry. Designed to store water fi rst
until it is required to add heat, the LCB700 reduces fuel usage and, due to the built-in fl ow adjustment valve, the boiler ensures hot water is available
on demand at the homeowner’s desired temperature. This is also supported by the boiler’s blue fl ame burner which requires less fuel during the combustion process. The boiler is futureproofed with
HVO compatibility and comes with up to a 10-year warranty as standard. All units utilise stainless steel heat exchangers for optimum durability. The boiler is also lightweight, which aids installation, as does the compact design and fl ueing. The LCB700 Blue Flame range is available as either a regular,
recesses and no side service clearances are required because all connections are easily accessible from the front. The boiler’s operation should
be easy to understand for the end-user. Heating temperature and DHW temperature can be set quickly with four push-buttons, while the state of operation is shown on the digital display screen. The boiler is weather
compensation and OpenTherm compatible and comes with a fi ve-year warranty as standard, when registered on the Viessmann installer portal. ◼

Off ering easy access to all components
Designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind, the ecoTEC plus combi and system boilers from Vaillant have all components easily accessible from the front of the boiler. With data recorded on the performance of key components, installers can also access information remotely and diagnose any issues before visiting the site. If the ecoTEC plus detects a
fault, it will try and correct itself 10 times. If it can’t correct itself, it will run at a reduced output and alert the homeowner and the installer.
The range includes two
models, the Superfl ow 45 and the Superfl ow 60, catering to diff erent capacity needs, and each is equipped with Intergas’s patented aluminium and copper heat exchanger to provide fast heat transfer and minimal heat loss. Capable of delivering up to
25 litres per minute, Superfl ow is able to ensure that kitchen, utility, bathroom and en-suite facilities can all receive hot water simultaneously. An illuminated touch screen
display helps to ensure that operating and controlling the unit is intuitive. ◼

The ProTec NX is a high-effi ciency, fan-assisted gas boiler from Alpha, designed for larger domestic installations as well as commercial applications. Available in six outputs from 48 to 180 kW, the boiler range can be cascaded to achieve higher outputs. Its wide 1:10 modulation range enables the boiler to run at a low output with fewer on/off cycles, reducing emissions and increasing component longevity. For installers, the ProTec NX

off ers an easy-to-fi t unit which can be wall-mounted or fi xed to a freestanding frame. The boiler is factory-fi tted with a room-sealed ‘C’ fl ue type confi guration but is also compatible with open or twin fl ue systems.
When you need a bigger output The new range off ers a more
compact, space-saving solution, especially when banking boilers together with a range of fl ue options for individual, cascaded and diff erent ventilation scenarios. A wide range of hydraulic accessories is available to link boilers, and plate exchangers and low loss headers to feed multiple heating and hot water zones. The ProTec NX has an
in-built option within the boiler control panel capable of setting programmes, temperatures and zones to suit the system’s need. Using Alpha’s smart commercial controls, it’s possible to link multiple boilers and drive them all from one ‘master’ boiler. ◼

Incorporating innovative
ionisation technology, IoniDetect, the ecoTEC plus models are able to operate with the most effi cient combustion by constantly monitoring the quality of the gas. With the addition of
myVAILLANT connect, the boiler can also be integrated with most smart-home platforms, enabling users to activate their heating system remotely and conveniently via smart mobile devices, as well as off ering proactive remote diagnostics and energy management solutions. ◼
