Installation ease at the heart of the Synergy
Designed by engineers, the Synergy range from Vokèra prioritises installer-focused features with advanced technology to help redefi ne the mid-tier boiler market. The Vokèra Synergy comes in
six models, three combi and three system variants, and boasts a 1:10 modulation ratio, which allows for lower gas consumption and reduced emissions. This means the boiler can fi ne-tune its output to match the exact heating demand, preventing wasteful on/off cycling. Its new digital modulating circulator further optimises performance by intelligently adjusting water fl ow rates through the heating system. At the same time, the stainless-steel heat exchanger guarantees exceptional heat transfer and durability. The Synergy range prioritises
features that simplify every step of the installation process. The universal pipework (DIN) layout allows for easy boiler replacements. A new condensate siphon and safety valve manifold further optimise installation and maintenance simplifi cation. As ‘hybrid-ready’, Synergy
Revamped with the input of installers’ feedback
Baxi recently revamped its popular 400 series combi boiler range following installer feedback, with the latest version 2.1 replacing the current Baxi 400 Combi 2 range. The 2.1 model includes a
pressure gauge visible on the exterior case, reinstated in direct response to feedback from working with the installer community since the product was fi rst launched in 2023. The boiler comes with a fi ve-year warranty and is currently available at the same price as the previous version. “By producing the 400 2.1
on-site at Baxi’s Preston factory, we can easily include the additional requirements of the British market, delivering to our customers the features they love,” says Baxi’s Rob Pearse, director of distribution sales. Along with the new analogue
pressure gauge, several other installer benefi ts have been introduced in the new 400 2.1.
Energy effi cient solution designed for off -grid areas
The Sapphire Boiler has been developed by EOGB as a fully modulating liquid fuel boiler designed to enhance heating effi ciency and reduce energy costs in off -grid properties. It features a modulating burner system paired with a high-effi ciency stainless steel heat exchanger, which contributes to fuel savings of approximately 15 to 25%. OpenTherm certifi ed, the boiler is compatible with smart home systems,
enabling users to manage their heating remotely. It can operate on both kerosene and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), off ering fl exibility for users concerned about their environmental footprint. The stainless steel heat exchanger is suitable for modern low-
temperature heating systems, ensuring eff ective performance even at cooler temperatures. The boilers are available as either internal or external options and are designed for straightforward installation in off -gas grid areas, promoting energy effi ciency and durability. ◼

seamlessly integrates into multi- energy systems through the ‘Hi, Comfort’ platform, making Synergy a versatile choice for modern homes. It is compact, too, just weighing from 28 to 30kg (depending on the model). Installers will also appreciate
the time saved thanks to the simplifi ed commissioning process and external plug-and-play wiring interface, eliminating the need to access internal wiring. The extensive range of accessories, which include frost-protection kits for outdoor installations and a twin-fl ue kit for fl exible placement, helps to provide a tailored solution. ◼

Low carbon alternative to heat pumps
The Eco Electric Boiler from Fischer Future Heat features self-modulation technology, which is said to reduce power consumption by up to 50% when less heat is required. It is designed for easy installation and compatibility with existing heating systems, including wet radiators and underfl oor heating. According to Fischer, the
demand for electric boilers has surged by over 45% in the past two years, as homeowners seek alternatives to ineffi cient gas boilers. With heat pumps not suitable for all households, the Eco
(magnetic) front cover, and a pre-heated and siphonic condensate trap that helps prevent freezing during cold weather, minimising the need for emergency callouts. “In the UK, installers told us
that they valued the simple pressure gauge and have been a little disappointed that it was removed on our latest range – until now!” adds Rob Pearse. The gauge has been reinstated on the new 400 Combi 2.1, as well as on the Assure 500, 600, 800 Combi and System 2 boilers. The modifi ed range includes a
Additional benefi ts Off ering the convenience of manual LPG conversion means the 400 range allows installers to easily switch between natural gas and LPG without needing additional kits. The Baxi Easy- Flue provides easy installation from the inside of the property and including a multi-lip weather seal to protect the fl ue installation from any rainwater ingress. Other improvements include a
compact casing with integrated pipes behind the void for neat upward pipework, a metal
higher 36kW model for improved fl ow rates of up to 15.0 litres per minute, suitable for larger homes that demand greater output. The boilers are built on the Baxi platform which standardises features across the range, with a focus on continued modernisation and effi ciency. It also means that, despite the
new features on the 400 2.1, installers will be familiar with the layout and overall workings of the boiler.
Peace of mind Coming with a fi ve-year parts and labour warranty, the Baxi 400 forms part of Baxi’s comprehensive product lineup, sitting alongside the 600 and 800 ranges, which off er seven and 10-year warranties respectively. ◼

Specifi cally designed for easier pipework routing
Included in the domestic oil boiler manufacturer range from Hounsfi eld Boilers is a ‘Stand Off ’ external wall-hung boiler, based on customer feedback and suggestions. An external model, the boiler features casing that is 50mm deeper than the standard Hounsfi eld wall-hung model. The extra space gives installers more fl exibility for pipework when replacing through-the-wall style boilers or Thermecon Boilers. “Many installers have said that when they remove an old Thermecon
boiler, they want to replace it with one of our boilers,” explains MD Andrew Hounsfi eld. “What sometimes stops them is the lack of additional space for pipework routing in the standard Hounsfi eld external boiler. This model is a direct response to the feedback.” Andrew adds: “We’re a small company but we pride ourselves on
producing superior boilers and giving excellent customer service. Part of that is being able to listen to what plumbers want and to design a solution that meets their needs and retains the same high standards that people expect from Hounsfi eld Boilers.” ◼

Electric Boiler is claimed to off er a viable option for those looking to lower their carbon emissions. The boiler is available in two
models: a combi boiler that provides both heating and hot water, and a heat-only boiler that works with electric water systems. Fischer’s Eco Electric Boiler
also includes a wireless thermostat for user control and can integrate with existing smart home systems. This product aims to facilitate the transition away from fossil fuels in a variety of residential settings. ◼
