measures enable consistent stock availability and reliable delivery for the new HOY bikes range to our B2B partners.
How are you communicating the core value proposition of the new Hoy Bikes range to retailers, to enable them to When communicating the core value of HOY bikes to retailers, we focus on four key principles: lightweight design, engineering specifically for children, ultimate control, and durability. Our bikes use carefully selected lightweight materials to help kids ride easier and longer. Each bike is designed from the ground up to fit young riders perfectly, building comfort and confidence. The brakes and handling deliver smooth starts and quick stops for ultimate control. And, importantly, the bikes are built to last with durable materials and solid construction. As a parent and lifelong cyclist, I understand what families need. This range reflects my experience, from childhood riding to elite competition, combined with a passion for creating the best possible riding experience for every child.
multi shipping containers, sharing space with Tandem Group’s other bike brands to drive efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of multiple containers. Our greatest environmental impact comes from durability; frames are tested to over 100,000 cycles, and pedals come with a 10-year warranty. This robustness encourages repair, renewal, and resale, extending the bikes’ life beyond the first owner. By promoting the second-hand market via initiatives like ReCycle, we reduce waste and maximise value for families. Sustainability for us means designing bikes that future generations can keep riding and passing on.
With past challenges in the cycling industry’s supply chain, what measures have been implemented to ensure consistent stock availability and efficient delivery of the new Hoy Bikes range to B2B partners? Talk us through the day-to-day aspects of your involvement in the design, testing, and approval process of these new bikes? Would you say your experience as a professional cyclist translates into the new range? Without question, the experience I gained from riding professionally as a cyclist helped me to understand what a great bike needs to feel and perform like. But I also believe that having two kids and watching them grow and learn to cycle has really helped me understand the specifics of what makes a great junior bike. I’ve fully immersed myself in the HOY bikes project and wouldn’t want it any other way. I’ve been involved at every stage of the process so that I can be proud of the finished product and know that we have created bikes that will make many, many kids fall in love with cycling. It’s been a huge amount of fun, and I can’t wait for our bikes to get out in the public domain!
in the next few years?
What I truly hope to see change in children’s cycling over the next few years is greater accessibility to bikes and cycling opportunities for all kids. Programmes like Bikeability are already making a real difference in encouraging safer, more confident young riders, which is fantastic. More broadly, I’d love to see a shift back to the days when children spent more time outdoors, exploring, adventuring, and enjoying the freedom that comes with cycling. Achieving this means creating safer, traffic-free spaces for kids to ride, which is essential. It also requires a conscious effort from parents to balance screen time with active play. It’s a challenge, but one worth tackling for the health and happiness of future generations.
