DISTRIBUTOR

‘12 YEARS ON IT IS AS IMPORTANT TODAY AS BACK THEN FOR OUR DEALERS TO SEE WHO WE ARE, NOT JUST THE VOICE ON THE CALL, BUT THE WHEEL BUILDERS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES, THE MARKETING AND ACCOUNT TEAMS’

SADDLEBACK HOUSE SHOW Saddleback hosted its inaugural House Show in 2011, created as a place to bring dealers and brands together, as well as a chance to showcase all the products that the distributor offers. Returning to the calendar last year for the first time since Covid, the event remains a highlight on the bike trade’s growing list of events. “We introduced our first house show at our previous home Easter Court in 2011,” explained Wigmore. “Then we moved it for capacity reasons in 2013 to a local

hotel, and thankfully were able to return it again in 2016 to our current HQ where it has remained ever since. “12 years on, it is as important today as back then for our dealers to see who we are, not just the voice on the call, but the wheel builders, the customer service representatives, the marketing and account teams. “It is a chance to put a face to a name that helped out on a small parts issue, or a next day event emergency. It is also a great opportunity for dealers to chat with the brands

themselves and the athletes who represent them, to discuss the pros and cons from a recent review with the journalist who penned the article and who hold an experience and depth of knowledge that is worth diving into.” Although networking is important, taking a break from the rat race and catching up with old faces remains at the heart of the event.

“It is an occasion to relax for a moment, with industry friends and have a good time,” added Wigmore. So, what can people expect from the 2023 edition? “We have an exciting House Show planned for this year, with some considerable changes to the showrooms and with more brand experiences,” said Wigmore. “We have some incredible guests joining us like the

awesome freerider Matt Jones and YouTube stars Juliet Elliot and Ali Clarkson. The new Abbey Tools pub will be well stocked and there will be more workshop events.” The Saddleback House Show takes place at the distributor’s warehouse and offices on September 12-13. 
