Pivot is a recent addition to the Saddleback portfolio

seen more willingness to buy into these ranges. “We started to see these improvements towards the end of 2022 and our February to June was an improvement over last year.”

Throughout its history, Saddleback has consistently expanded its portfolio of products every year. Despite the post-Covid market conditions, this remains a

key element in the business’ development. “We welcomed Pivot Cycles and Feedback Sports into our portfolio, both excellent additions to our family of brands and both bring a wealth of support and interest from the trade,” said Wigmore “Feedback Sports, our most recent addition, is a brand synonymous with performance cycling, often seen in the best World Cup pits or in the Servizio Corse [service course] of WorldTour teams.

“They fill an important gap in our portfolio, as caring for your bike is an integral part of cycling and Feedback Sports produce the best workstands, display stands and warm-up trainers you can buy - in our eyes as evidenced by their use at the highest levels of our sport.” In the 2010s, the distributor accelerated its expansion into the MTB space with the addition of Chris King, Enve and Troy Lee Designs all big coups. As of July last year, Saddleback picked up exclusive UK and

Ireland distribution for Pivot Cycles. This cemented their growing commitment to the segment, with the Arizona-based bike brand recognised as one of the most innovative and technically-advanced manufacturers on the market.

“Pivot Cycles supplements our existing bike brands, Moots and Enve, with its focused attention on ride characteristics that riders and tech editors seem to love,” said Wigmore. “The recent release of the new Mach 4 SL and the Shuttle AM, which both highlight the engineering capability of Pivot, has this brand going from strength to strength, making it a clear contender in the space justifiably occupied by Santa Cruz and Yeti. “We will continue to showcase all that the brand has to offer at events up and down the country.” Looking ahead, Saddleback will continue to follow the blueprint that sees it on the verge of celebrating its 20th anniversary. We will continue to invest in the brands and the people in the business,” said Wigmore. “Discussions are ongoing about adding more exclusive brands

to our portfolio, something we hope to have finalised before the year is out.”

With three months left in 2023, Wigmore has one wish for the trade: “Most importantly, we hope to get back to stable trading to the benefit of the industry.”
