Given the cycling industry’s fluctuations, particularly post-COVID, how has TMP Parts’ experience with stock acquisition and liquidation evolved, and what broader trends have you observed in the market since 2019? Unfortunately for them, we have had to clear out a number of failed businesses who have been caught out by the waves of uncertainty that Covid has presented but remain philosophical in what we do, rather than being mercenary in any way, allows us to resell product into the marketplace at a value-driven price point that helps the smaller more agile businesses reduce costs and aids private individuals to keep their bikes going too of course. trend this spring and long may it continue. We feel the reset is more or less over and hope for a bright (but more stable) future for the industry as a whole.
Could you share your insights on how your customers can best approach managing their surplus or older stock, and how TMP Parts fits into that picture? We’re also interested in understanding the sustainability aspects of this process, and what happens to the stock once you acquire it?
