HOMEWORLD 3 The previously eighth-most-eagerly- anticipated PC game of 2024 found itself knocked down the pecking order during February’s Steam Next Fest, on account of the demo failing to impress. In response, Blackbird Interactive announced that the launch of the space strategy game would be delayed from March 8th to May 13th. Considering it’s been more than 240 months since Homeworld 2, two more added to the wait hasn’t caused too much consternation. Probably needed a few more though.

MAY 11th-15th ENDLESS OCEAN
LUMINOUS Before the walking simulator was a thing and feelgood games were described as cosy, we had the likes of Endless Ocean on the Wii. A low-impact game of swimming from A to B and looking at the fish before splashing off to C to not do very much but wish there was more of this sort of thing. Fifteen years after the last one, there is and we couldn’t be more happy at the prospect of squeezing into our scuba gear once again. Will it still fit? Probably not, but we can always dust off the Wii Fit until it does.

TIGA GAMES EDUCATION
CONFERENCE Taking place at Bournemouth University, TIGA’s Games Education Conference comprised a full day of keynotes and panel discussions. The event aims to provide a valuable platform for educators and developers to share knowledge and ideas in order to tackle important issues such as skills, the employability of graduates, advancements in research and teaching, and evolving tools and technologies. By all accounts it did just that!
