Take in these photos and chreish them, becuase the 72nd Insomnia Gaming Festival may well end up being the last. On May 16th, news seeped out that Player1 Events had let the majority of its staff go, including sales and marketing teams, and that September’s I73 had been cancelled. At time of writing there’s been no announcement from the company, but given the testimony of what are now former staff, the outlook for both Player1 and Insomnia look to be seriously in doubt. Will Craig “Wizzo” Fletcher again ride over the hill to rescue the event he started? Watch this space. In the meantime, I72 went quite well by all accounts. Lots of smiling faces, at least...
