9 Just up the road at Sumo Leamington, MARCUS CLARKE is settling into his role of Senior Game Designer. This is his second stint at Sumo Digital, having previously  to work on solo project Overmorrow - which we’re hoping will be nominated for next year’s MCV/DEVELOP Awards.

10 Cruelly overlooked last issue (it happens), MARC ALLERA has been the Chairman of Jagex since March. If the name rings a vague bell, that’s because Marc oversaw the UK launch of the Dreamcast during a four-year stint at Sega. Since then he’s held a number of executive roles at various telecommunications giants, such as Three, BT Group and EE.

Back in the dim and distant past, when computers ran on hamster wheels and witchcraft, he held senior positions at Virgin Interactive Entertainment and Mirrorsoft.

STARLIGHT GAMES Liverpool has a new-ish studio led by industry veteran Gary Nichols, the one-time PR Manager of Britsoft powerhouse Psygnosis who more recently ran Atomicon as a boutique work for hire studio. Well now the studio has transformed like a majestic phoenix into Starlight Games and is working on its own IP, for which it has brought in the likes of NICK BURCOMBE (the co-creator of WipEout), ANDY SANTOS and BEN CRONIN. We look forward to hearing of new sustainable hires as development at the studio ramps up.
