Nestlé CEO ousted over secret office romance
Nestlé’s Board of Directors has appointed Philipp Navratil as CEO of Nestlé, S.A., following the immediate dismissal of Laurent Freixe. Freixe’s departure comes after an investigation into an undisclosed relationship with a direct subordinate, which breached Nestlé’s Code of Business Conduct. The inquiry was overseen by Chairman Paul Bulckeand Lead Independent Director Pablo Isla, with support from external counsel. Bulcke stated: “This was a necessary decision. Antalis announces two strategic appointments
Antalis Packaging has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of two experienced professionals, underlining its commitment to growth and customer excellence. Ben Baskeyfield joined on July 21
as Business Development Manager, a newly created role focused on driving new business across the UK. With recent hands-on experience in general packaging and over four years in the timber pallet industry, Ben brings a practical, consultative approach to business development. “I can assist customers in unlocking real value through their packaging supply,” he said. “My goal is to work closely with businesses to understand their needs and deliver long-term benefits.” Sean McNamee started on July 14 as National Account Manager,
responsible for major accounts including Schneider Electric and The Goodfish Group. With more than five years’ experience managing large blue-chip accounts, Sean brings a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record in solutions-based sales. “I bring a fresh perspective to customers and a commitment to improving efficiency,” he said. Mars appoints Myriah Gambrell-Glenn for snacking business helm
Mars has appointed Myriah Gambrell-Glenn as General Counsel for its Snacking business, effective December 1, 2025. Based in Chicago, she will lead the global legal function for Mars Snacking, home to brands including M&M’S and SNICKERS, reporting to President Andrew Clarke with a dotted line to Stefanie Straub, Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Mars Incorporated. In her new role, Gambrell-Glenn will oversee legal
strategy, compliance, and risk management across a business with more than 34,000 Associates in over 150 countries, selling 1,000 snacks every second. She will also serve on both the Mars Snacking Leadership Team and Mars Legal Leadership Team. Since joining Mars in 2010, Gambrell-Glenn has
held senior legal roles across multiple segments and geographies, most recently as General Counsel for Mars Pet Nutrition. There, she guided the integrations of Champion Petfoods and Pretty Litter, acquired in 2023 and 2021 respectively.
