BUSINESS Exclusive
A powerful B
It’s been five months since Orangeworks acquired Tanis Food Tec, which has no doubt brought process knowledge, creativity and production efficiency together. But what makes these two companies a match made in heaven?
ack in June 2020, leading machinery manufacturer Orangeworks acquired confectionery and bakery equipment specialists Tanis Food Tec (TFT), and together, both Netherlands-based companies are offering complimentary expertise that enables greater coverage across the industry.
When collaboration talks first began in 2019, it became clear that there was a match in their DNA and things soon began to move quickly. Peter Tanis, Founder, TFT, explains: “TFT was growing and growing and we needed to find a good partner for our production, ideas and developments. We wanted to make the company better and ready for the future.
“With Orangeworks, we can react quicker on redeveloping and redesigning equipment and broaden our portfolio and solutions to the market.” Despite the acquisition, TFT will still operate as its own company – the only thing that is changing are the possibilities.
Behind the scenes, both companies will be shaped and optimised to better serve its customers, but TFT will remain a trusted partner. Peter continues: “We have done this all on purpose to create a better company with more opportunities and I will continue to stay involved with the business as an advisor.”
