Industrial technology and thermal systems provider, Watlow, has announced the launch of its new Prime Distributor Programme across Europe. The Prime Distributor Programme will be offered through a network of well-qualified distributors that have both strong local presence and a history of supplying Watlow products. The programme will provide customers with improved support and easier access to the full line of Watlow products and solutions.
To qualify as a Watlow Prime Distributor, each business is required to demonstrate the ability to continually invest in and scale their organisation and adhere to Watlow's requirements for service and support. This applies to both Watlow and Eurotherm product lines — an industrial technology company that Watlow acquired in 2022. These key partners will bear a certified ‘Prime Distributor’ logo to demonstrate their affiliation with the company.
Watlow will have one Prime Distributor in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Each distributor will have primary responsibility for managing its own business as well as an extended network of Endorsed Distributors within their respective markets. Endorsed Distributors will assist Primes with other localised and unique needs as they arise.
The first market in which the Prime programme will be introduced is the UK, with Watlow selecting Electroserv as the Prime Distributor for this key market. Throughout 2024, the company will be transferring a significant number of UK based customers and distributors to Electroserv and will be working with relevant groups within Watlow to ensure a smooth transition for all parties. The company's website, which currently offers Eurotherm's product line, is currently under development to also provide access to Watlow offerings.
"Our new programme is essential to Watlow’s go-to-market strategy for indirect European customers,” said Steve France, indirect sales manager, Europe at Watlow. “Watlow has grown rapidly across Europe and with a large proportion of our customers in the UK, it made sense to start the Prime Distributor Programme here.
“The partnership between Watlow and Electroserv is a great step forward for our indirect business across Europe, as it will provide a better customer experience, as well as access to more sales and support resources. Ultimately, the programme will enable us to expand our market reach, improve distribution processes and further grow our business throughout Europe.”

METCASE’s New Universal Carry Handles For Portable Electronic Enclosures METCASE is raising the bar with a new range of universal tilt/swivel carry handles for fitting to any customer-specified metal electronic enclosures.
These ergonomic carry handles double as desk stands. They can be adjusted in 30° increments, enabling the device to be positioned at the perfect angle for viewing and operation.
Ordering the handle kit requires the customer to specify two parts. Firstly, there is a side arm kit which includes two diecast zinc side arms and location bosses (incorporating the spring ratcheting mechanism),
two snap-in moulded push-buttons, two anti-glide rubber rings (for stable positioning on the table-top) and the assembly screws. Fitting the side arms simply involves machining three holes on each side of the customer’s enclosure. The side arm kits are offered in four standard colours: off-white (RAL 9002), anthracite (RAL 7016), light grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005). The push- buttons are supplied in a contrasting or matching colour.
Lastly, the customer just needs to specify the required length of extruded aluminium handle bar that fits between the two side arm assemblies. The dimension is simply the width of the customer’s enclosure (where the handle will be fitted) less 26 mm. METCASE will then supply the extrusion to the correct length. The handle bars are available painted in the same colours as the side arms and also in silver metallic (RAL 9006).
To order the handle bar, simply select the handle colour part number and replace the XXX at the end with the required dimension. For example: for a 350 mm wide customer enclosure, the machined bar length is 324 mm (350 mm less 26 mm). So, the part number will be M50930-324 with the bar painted in silver metallic (RAL 9006).
METCASE can supply these handle kits painted in alternative RAL colours. For special colours, the moulded push-buttons will be supplied in black (RAL 9005).
