The 2023 BTCC season returned in earnest at Donington Park last month as Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport and Jake Hill battled challenging weather conditions to collect a podium finish and a healthy haul of points to leave round one of the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship third in drivers’ standings. The first competitive outing for the new look Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport
team started on a high with Jake Hill finishing both free practice sessions of the weekend in third place, setting the tone for the upcoming qualifying session. A stellar qualifying performance from Jake behind the wheel of his #24 WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport saw him claim third place in the ‘Top- 10 Showdown’ as he narrowly missed out on a second consecutive pole position by 0.1 seconds to take third spot on the grid and with it, a fantastic
starting position for race one on the Sunday morning that would follow. Taking the lead of the race, Jake began building an impressive gap to the chasing cars, before a safety car would bring a halt to his superb race start. Carefully managing the restart, eventually taking the chequered flag in second place, getting the season off to a fantastic start.

Fix-A-Floor has been awarded Best Innovation 2023 in the Annual Tile Association Awards at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel. In a fiercely competitive category with seven competing products, Fix-A-Floor came out on top as the overall winner. The award was presented to Fix- A-Floor UK director Adrian Cox by Topps Tiles CEO Rob Parker after impressing the judges selected from a wide range of sectors within the Tiling industry. Fix-A-Floor is an extra strength repair adhesive which has been customised for the specific use of re-bonding loose and hollow tile, marble, stone and squeaky wood floors without the headache and mess of removing or replacing them potentially saving users thousands of pounds in alternative costly repairs. The theme to this year’s awards was ‘Shaping the Future’. “Fix-A- Floor is the market leading product in floor repair,” stated Director Adrian Cox. “This product is a life-saver for both DIYers and professional tile fixers alike! In the present climate where for many replacing an entire floor isn’t an option Fix-A-Floor provides a professional, fast, easy and affordable solution.” The key to the product’s effectiveness is its combination of a very powerful and flexible adhesive with elastomeric properties, combined with an extremely low viscosity prior to curing. This means that it will flow under a tile completely filling the void underneath it and ensuring an end to wobbly and loose tiles – which are obviously more prone to breaking, if not fixed down quickly.
