DIY WEEK AWARDS 2023 WINNERS 2018

Digital Innovation Award ManoMano

With its owned technology and one-of-a-kind customer and seller-centric innovations, ManoMano takes pride in its advanced offering to both clients and partner sellers. It offers more than a purely transactional website but aims to instead build a community. With new sellers frequently joining the marketplace and the product catalogue ever increasing, ManoMano is continuously searching for new ways to meet demand and expand its growing community, and in 2019 the business adapted its strong consumer-based performance and entered into the B2B world with the launch of an additional platform named ManoManoPro.

Originally launching in France, ManoManoPro targets an industry that is yet to fully embrace the digital sector – the construction industry. With over 550,000 construction companies based in the French market, and €50bn of supplies purchased annually within the sector, ManoMano saw an opportunity to help accelerate and facilitate this sector’s digitalisation with a tool that brings together all the functionalities of a brick & mortar store on one simplified platform. The service is a one-stop shop targeted at construction companies with fewer than 10 employees, designed to make the life of trade professionals easier by combining the power of the ManoMano marketplace with over 1m specially tailored products and services available. This unique format revolutionises tradespeople’s purchasing process and frees them from their daily constraints. Tradespeople can complete an order anytime,

anywhere, with delivery straight to project sites. ManoMano aims to continue the strong launch of ManoManoPro in the UK by targeting 15% of all sales to be done through the app. The judges said of our winner: “ManoMano uses this digital innovation to enable a €72b industry to participate on a Pro platform and tap into negotiated prices and advice on top brands.”
