Beverley Wood – Home Hardware Beverley joined Home Hardware Southwest in January 1998 as Marketing Manager and was recently presented with a watch to mark her 25 years of service by David Adams, the Chairman of Home Hardware. Beverley says one of her proudest achievements was


organising ‘Project Rudolph’ at Malletts Home Hardware in Truro for three consecutive years. In 2009 it drew large crowds (estimated at over 27,000), and saw thousands of excited children meet Santa and real reindeer. She got Spotlight News TV to present the weather from outside Malletts store, got the event promoted free on local radio stations (she was interviewed on Pirate FM) and got a free double page spread in The West Britain Newspaper and other papers. Promoting hardware retailers is in Beverley’s DNA... her grandparents were hardware retailers in Sheffield in the 1950s and 60s and her grandfather was President of the National Federation of Ironmongers. I’m sure they would be incredibly proud of her achievements, promoting independent hardware retailers for over 25 years. Congratulations to Beverley on winning this prestigious and well deserved award!
