Triton Showers supports safety start/stop-button on showerheads


Following a safety alert issued by the Bathroom Manufacturers Association Shower manufacturer, Triton Showers, has supported the call for third party suppliers of start/stop-button showerheads to provide clear warnings about their use with instantaneous electric showers.

Beesley & Fildes goes Silva with specialist timber range


Family-owned Liverpool-based builders merchant Beesley & Fildes has acquired part of Silva Timber, which went into administration in October 2023.


The deal sees Beesley & Fildes acquire a range of products from the business, including external cladding, coated wood, hardwood decking, slatted screen fencing and cedar shingles, which will be available across the merchant’s 11 branches and online.


Former Silva Timber employees Andrea Rolt and Jenny Merritt have joined Beesley & Fildes as specialist timber sales representatives.


Beesley & Fildes commercial director James Beesley, said:


“As a local business with complementary products, Silva Timber presented an opportunity for us to significantly enhance our portfolio. Aggregate Industries invests in cement storage


Aggregate Industries’ cement business has expanded into a major new cement storage facility for deep sea shipping lines at the Port of Southampton.


As part of a 20-year agreement, Aggregate Industries will be working with port owner Associated British Ports and industry-leading cargo handler Solent Stevedores who will be operating the new substantial cement import facility.
