14. New look for Geocel Painters’ Mate Geocel has relaunched its iconic Painters’ Mate range, giving it its own visual identity and logo. Painters Mate Flexible Filler is a high quality paintable acrylic sealant, that fills cracks on door and window frames, walls, skirting boards, architraves and ceilings. The product’s formulation also includes a fungicide to resist mould growth, can be overpainted in one hour and comes in white, brown or magnolia. Painters Mate Ultra Fine Filler is a ready to use, fast drying compound that delivers a smooth finish. Its lightweight formulation can be overpainted in five minutes and can be used on most building substrates, including wood, stone, concrete, metal and plastic. Itcomes in white; and in either 500ml or 1ltr containers. Painters Mate is also available in foils, compatible with Geocel’s environmentally friendly ecoSEAL system, designed to reduce single-use plastic waste.

13. Purdy packs new painters’ backpack Purdy has launched the Purdy Painter’s Backpack, made from a durable, weather resistant fabric, with several dedicated pockets for a variety of tools. This includes a pocket for roller frames and sleeves up to 18”, an external extension pole compartment, as well as slots for prep tools and a multitude of brushes. External compartments and clips keep personal items and water bottles safe and there’s an external USB connector to keep devices charged. The backpack’s two foldout pockets in the front open fully and lay flat for ease of access to tools and brushes. Purdy’s new Purdy Pail, is a one litre capacity paint bucket, which comes with different grip options, a brush magnet, and a mini roller ramp. To reduce hand fatigue, the Pail comes with a multi-grip option, including a coffee- cup style adjustable hand grip for pouring and holding, and a flexible bail handle for general carrying. This fits securely onto a ladder hook for hanging, keeping both hands free to work safely. A side mini roller rest fits up to 4.5” mini roller sleeves and interior moulding to keep rollers out of the paint.
