andscaping manufacturer Marshalls has invested in 108 new HIAB loader cranes from Hiab, part of Cargotec, equipped with the connected service HiConnect™ and ProCare™ Total Repair and Maintenance contracts for eight years. The cranes ordered are the medium range HIAB X-HiDuo 138 B-2 loader cranes with HIAB Brick Grabs supplied to Massey Truck Engineering who will install them on truck trailer combinations, as well as the HIAB X-HiPro 099R Roll Loaders with Brick Grabs installed on SDC Trailers, construction spec platform trailer. Both


are remote controlled to give operators the best field of vision to improve precision and safety to themselves and the surroundings. All the complete units will be supplied to Marshalls via Zenith.

Spinks invests in transport offer to meet demand

orders.


The brand-new Mercedes-Benz Arcox 32 tonne lorry with trailer is one the company’s largest transport investments to date. The lorry is fitted with a remote control crane system which will make loading and unloading operations safer, faster and more efficient and with the new engine technology, that produces lower emission levels. and better fuel economy, which will also reduce the company’s carbon footprint. The vehicle has also been fitted with a state-of-the-art front facing cameras to assist the insurance company with any incidents or


accidents which may occur out on the road. Spinks Building Supplies, with branches in Doncaster and Leeds, deliver a range of heavy side materials, including bricks, blocks, civils, roofing and timber. The lorry can carry 44 tonnes of materials.


Spinks Tony Billam, transport manager said: “We are delighted with the new lorry and it will make a huge difference to our operations, allowing us to meet ever-increasing demand, while continuing to provide the top-quality delivery service that our customers. The drivers are looking forward to getting behind the wheels and out on the road.”


In addition to the lorry, the company has also added an extra five forklift trucks, and a 7.5 tonne vehicle to its fleet.
