MGN also utilises social media, email newsletters, and local advertising to keep customers informed about promotions, new products, and services.

Opening the Orpington branch did come with its fair share of challenges, particularly in finding the right location.

Morgun explains: “Orpington is a rapidly growing area with high competition, so we had to ensure the branch was well-positioned to serve both local customers and those from nearby areas. By conducting thorough market research and working with local experts, we secured a site that meets these needs and offers ease of access for delivery vehicles.” Another challenge was hiring the right staff. “We wanted to build a team of knowledgeable professionals who could provide expert advice, whether on building materials or kitchen and bathroom designs,” Morgun adds. “To overcome this, we invested in training programmes and recruited experienced staff who already had industry knowledge, ensuring our Orpington team could deliver the high level of service that MGN is known for.”

Powering projects

The construction and building industry in the southeast is undergoing significant transformation, driven by sustainability, technological advancements, and increased demand for housing and infrastructure. Morgun highlights: “There’s a clear shift towards more eco-friendly building practices, energy-efficient materials, and greater efficiency in construction processes.

“As these demands grow, we have positioned our business to meet them by incorporating eco- friendly options into our product range, such as sustainable timber, energy-efficient insulation, and low-carbon products.

“By adapting to new trends, expanding our product offerings, and continuously improving our operations, we are confident that MGN will remain a trusted partner in the southeast construction industry.” BMJ
