MAM SOFTWARE SEEKS DIGITAL TAX PILOTS
REMORSE?
recent survey has revealed that 39% of Brits admit that the kitchen is the room most in need of a revamp, yet for almost half (42%)
of those asked , it can take up to five years to be completely satisfied with the state of their home.
“A new kitchen is a big investment, financially and emotionally, so it is
understandable that homeowners can be hesitant. With so much choice available, settling on the right look can be daunting and difficult to visualise,” ays Nathan Maclean, managing director of Virtual Worlds..
“This is where 4D technology has a massive advantage. Consumers can walk around the space freely via a specially-designed headset. This tracks their body and hand movements and relays them on to the screen, enabling them to interact by opening doors and
drawers and getting a genuine feeling for their new kitchen.
“Our software is all about providing
customers with peace of mind, giving them the information at their fingertips to ensure they have an informed decision throughout the design process and putting an end to buyer’s remorse.” BMJ

MRC is stepping up its push towards tax digitisation, requiring more and more companies to conduct their tax affairs electronically. Making Tax Digital is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs. HMRC ‘s ambition is to become one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world. The idea is to transform tax administration so that it is more effective, efficient and easier for tax-payers to get their tax returns right first time. : Software supplier MAM Software has announced that it has made significant progress in its efforts to help customers become compliant with these Making Tax Digital plans.
MAM Software is listed by HMRC as one of the suppliers ho have VAT-compatible software in development. Its Trader software has been reviewed by HMRC and the company has undertaken two successful live submissions as part of the HMRC pilot trials.
MAM is also currently developing a ‘standalone module’ for users of its older Trader v20 systems. This is a temporary solution designed to run alongside the existing software and is only available on compatible operating systems. However, for long-term stability, users should consider upgrading to MAM’s Trader v30 or Trader Online solution. In order to comply with its security requirements, all communications with HMRC must support Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2. Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved on older applications and operating systems. Businesses that are running one of MAM’s older solutions should, therefore, contact MAM Software ASAP to discuss their options for upgrading.
The company is currently inviting suitable businesses to join its MTD pilot trials. To register your interest go to:
