Robert Price is the largest independent builders’ merchants in South Wales and Herefordshire, a family-run, local business with over 30 branches in the group. It currently trades under multiple sister brands: Robert Price, Gower Timber, PlumbBob Plumbing & Heating Supplies, The Sustainable Energy Centre, Tudors Building Supplies and Tudors KBB. At the begining of this year, the company partnered with fellow family-run tool, plant and powered access specialist Miles Hire. The partnership will see the expansion of Miles Hire into additional Robert Price sites throughout 2026 and beyond. The first branch was Robert Price Newport branch on Corporation Road, where Miles Hire will operate a dedicated trade counter alongside the existing Robert Price counter. The new setup will allow customers to seamlessly hire equipment at the same time as purchasing materials, creating a one-stop destination for construction, maintenance, facilities management and DIY projects.
David Pattison, sales director of Robert Price, said: “Our customers value convenience, speed and trust. By bringing Miles Hire into our Newport branch, we’re making it easier for them to keep projects moving. It’s a partnership built on shared principles and a long-term view of serving South Wales and beyond.”
