spring fair @home T&G Woodware: “Ample opportunities to showcase”

T&G is a family run business, established in 1975, still managed by one of the founders (Patrick Gardner, MD) and based in Portishead, Bristol, United Kingdom. All T&G products start from a blank sheet of paper, developing and creating every product to ensure that it is the best that it can be. With the Covid-19 pandemic still influencing the networking and showcase industry, the move to online bridges the gap and allows suppliers to launch new products from the comfort of our homes. Jenny Handley, Head of Marketing, finds the move to an online showcase as a positive alternative “We have found it a great opportunity to showcase the T&G brand and launch new products for Spring 2021, it is not the same as a live, in person show, but the online version was great! “The online event has given us ample

opportunities to showcase new products and find new customers. It has also given T&G Woodware the opportunity to remind customers that they are still here and happy to help in any way they can.” Whilst Handley recognises the important of online events in a time where we cannot socially interact with one another, there is no substitution to face-to-face contact when it

avid Mason Design: Spring Fair is always something we look forward to each year as we use it as a springboard

to launch new ranges and of course gives us a chance to catch up with customers both current and new. Therefore, not having the chance to meet people this year it was important we had some way of interacting with customers and having the opportunity to present our new ranges. The SF21 Virtual showroom was an interesting concept that we very wanted to be part of as soon as we heard about it. To get maximum

Everyone here at Grunwerg looks forward to Spring Fair every year and we were incredibly disappointed when the face- to-face exhibition couldn’t go ahead. The Virtual Spring Fair at Home event was a creative alternative to the original exhibition, but unfortunately, we didn’t receive anywhere as much engagement or leads as we would at the normal event, and definitely not as much fun! The Spring Fair exhibition goes much

further than just being an opportunity to view products: catching up with customers in person, the excitement of watching the stand come together and the energetic and inspiring vibe that flows throughout the hall, are all what makes Spring Fair such a successful and enjoyable experience. Grunwerg has adapted to a much

stronger online presence during both lockdowns; we have expanded our digital

becomes readily available to us once again. “Online events certainly have a place, but I feel that they will be run alongside and in conjunction with, there is no substitution for networking and face to face meetings. T&G’s range of products need to be seen to be believed, they are tactile, and they need to be displayed.” Part of their Spring Fair at Home press

release, T&G have created a range of ceramic storage pieces including three sizes of store jar, utensil/bottle pot and a serving plate all with ‘Family & Friends’ graphic details perfect for the kitchen; simple in design, practical for use the store jars have sealed lids to keep contents fresh and with a lovely sentiment to keep or give as a gift to ‘Family & Friends’. To accompany the ceramic storage pieces T&G has designed a sustainable FSC® certified beech wood range. Including serving block, handled wood boards, egg cups, rolling pin, 3 different sizes of wooden spoon, spatula and pastry brush. A little home baking either with loved ones or given as a gift as each of these items has the ‘Friends & Family’ characters beautifully lasered on each piece. What better way to show off culinary skills learnt in lockdown than with the new range of

impact we created a special showroom video for SF20 so we could engage with customers and let them see what is new this year as well as showing the rest of our collections to potential new customers. Overall, we were pleased with the reaction as we picked up some new business which was a nice bonus as well as having an opportunity to introduces our new ranges for 2021. Obviously, it was never going to match the tremendous business we normally generate at Spring Fair but it did go some way to cushioning the blow of no face to face meetings.

marketing teams and have done well utilising digital avenues that we previously hadn’t considered before. Our teams have been working incredibly

hard on content creation, developing high- quality imagery and informative videos to showcase products in all their glory, as well as exhibiting the best ways to use them. Our website is also going under refurbishment, making it easier than ever for new and existing customers to explore collections and order products. Although we have improved our digital

efforts throughout the lockdown, nothing beats traditional sales meetings and visiting our customers, it’s safe to say we cannot wait for everything to return to normal and see everyone in person once again!

‘Baking Gifts’? Made from FSC® Certified Beech wood, these serving boards and utensils with lasered text add a little fun to the kitchen; give budding cook’s out there the perfect tools for the job. Choose from ‘Star Baker’, ‘Chief Cook’, ‘Homemade’ and ‘Eat well, Live well, Be well’, enjoy baking with the family or give these sustainable, practical and fun gifts to the bakers you know! T&G have taken the opportunity to update and

refresh their FSC® Certified Cork packaging, showing off the natural properties of this versatile material. FSC® Certified Cork is sustainable, recyclable and biodegradable and the cork table mats, coasters and pot stands are perfect for protecting work surfaces and tabletops. Cork is heat, water and stain resistant and easy to clean; simply wipe with a damp cloth.

Cork is the bark of the Cork oak tree which

regenerates after each harvest making cork an ecologically acceptable product, as it is one of the few materials which regenerates itself. T&G have held FSC® certification since 1999 and this gives the customer an independent guarantee that the forest is managed according to agreed social, environmental and economic standards.

The past year has certainly changed the

way we engage with customers and we have changed much about the way we market our products and meet with customers. We have done this by creating video presentations, having virtual showroom meetings, an enhanced customer website and increased social media marketing. Having said that we of course can’t wait to start having face to face meetings whether that be at Trade shows, in our showroom or at our customers premises.
