Melitta Pictured is the CI Touch Bean To Cup Coffee Machine, which won the small electricals category of the Housewares Innovation Awards 2019. Melitta says: ‘CI Touch is among the all- rounders of bean to cup coffee machines with its one-touch function and new touch user panel. With just a simple gesture, four different coffee variations can be selected from the classic café crème to cappuccino and from latte macchiato to espresso - whilst six additional coffee specialities can be made via the recipe book function. Its touch user interface is augmented with a high- resolution colour TFT display that guides coffee lovers with clear instructions for their respective application. When it comes to coffee preparation, the CI Touch uses the ‘Bean Select’ dual-chamber bean storage compartment, which offers space for two different types of beans such as light roast beans and espresso beans. The My Coffee memory function saves personal favourites for up to four people, whilst the Double Cup mode allows two cups to be filled simultaneously.’

Meyer

Winner of the cookware category of the Housewares Innovation Awards 2019, Meyer’s Kitchen Hacks range features ‘smart, time-saving products, ingenious space-saving ideas and great cookware. It includes clever nesting saucepan sets, making the most of every inch of your cupboards and worktops. The cookware is very stackable and interlocking handles give a heat- resistant comfortable grip. In addition, the design of the handle prevents the interiors from touching, which avoids scratching of the non-stick surface. Flat lids and shallow handles ensure the cookware sticks neatly together’.

Winner of the kitchenware category of the Housewares Innovation Awards 2019, Eco storageware from LocknLock addresses the issue of single-use plastic. The food grade plastic waste produced in the LocknLock factories would normally be sold to manufacturers of single-use plastic. This waste is now used in the production of Eco: the Eco range is manufactured from 100% salvaged food grade plastic and every piece is ‘unique in colour, and green in principle’. The packaging is made with 100% recycled paper.
