Unique selling points

Our Sirius cascade frame kits which can accom- modate up to six boilers, spreading heat demand across multiple boilers:

They have adjustable mounting feet which makes them safe and stable on uneven surfaces

They are compact and their modular fl oor stand- ing framework saves space and reduces installa- tion time

The robust installation kits for fl ow and return headers minimises heat loss The steel gas manifold pipework is robust

They have a hydraulically sized fl ow and return manifolds which match the total designed fl ow rate, whatever the system load

The hydraulic system manager, which includes air, dirt and magnetic fi ltration and fl ow manage- ment protects the boilers components by ensuring a clean system and water and removes air as well as preventing noise.

CaseStudy

In 2016, specialist heating company Christopher Dunphy Ecclesiastical was approached by the Left Bank Leeds arts and events venue about installing an energy effi cient heating solution at their base – a former Victorian church.

A complete heating installation was

required for the Leeds Left Bank project and Christopher Dunphy Ecclesiastical specifi ed the installation of two Sirius Two WH110 kW boilers. The Potterton Commercial Sirius boilers

were chosen for their effi cient performance, long lasting stainless steel heat exchangers, compact dimensions, ability to work in cascade and exceptional modulation ratio of 9:1 so the boilers are extremely energy effi cient and can accurately meet the fl uctuating needs of the building’s users.

This all helps the system to run at its most

effi cient and helps the arts centre to save money on its bills. The Sirius boilers have a compact design and

reduced weight to make them simple to install, even in smaller spaces. The light boilers also come with full frames, to further protect the fabric of the building once installed. More than 50 fl at panel radiators were

fi tted to counteract the high heat losses in the church due to the building’s fabric and high ceilings (calculations estimated heat loss to be in excess of 150kW). The radiators were all painted to blend into the surroundings as much as possible.

The customer chose to opt for a Wi-Fi

control system, allowing for remote access to site through their mobile phones via an approved app. Additional technologies specifi ed included

Spirotech, an ‘air and dirt low loss header’ full pressurisation unit plus dosing pot and an optimisation intelligent heating controls system.
