Condair has ensured ideal humidity levels for Fujifilm; Dutypoint has added to its Element range; BoilerMag’s boiler filters have a new warranty; Stokvis has enhanced its ranges of gas boilers; Testo unveils a flue gas analyser with Bluetooth; SAV Systems has helped the University of Edinburgh find a ventilation solution

Condair

Condair’s JetSpray humidification system is maintaining an ideal 40-60% RH at the Fujifilm Imaging and Innovation Centre in Bedford, providing Fujifilm’s demonstration area with the optimum atmospheric conditions for paper storage and printing. The JetSpray humidifier consists of a control panel feeding compressed air and water to rows of self-cleaning spray nozzles mounted in the area to be humidified. The compressed air atomises the water as it is released from the nozzle, which is designed so that water can only be introduced when compressed air is flowing, guaranteeing drip-free humidification. The system has a fully modulating output and offers very close humidity control at ±2%RH. Regular automatic flush cycles ensure hygienic operation and a PureFlo Ag+ silver ion dosing system is also incorporated in the incoming water supply. The JetSpray runs on mains, demineralised or softened water. www.condair.co.uk

BoilerMag

Heating system filter specialist Eclipse Magnetics has increased the warranty on its BoilerMag commercial and industrial boiler filters to 10 years. As a result of BoilerMag’s confidence in the construction and performance of its products, the new warranty provides installers with high levels of product guarantee. Sales and marketing director Steve McAllorum said: “Extensive testing and a long-standing commitment to quality construction allow us to have total confidence in the longevity of our product, which is reflected in our warranty.” The BoilerMag XL is designed for use in medium-sized commercial, retail, or large residential properties, while the BoilerMag XT is perfect for industrial heating systems. Both products effectively prevent the build-up of contamination in central heating systems, reducing energy bills, increasing boiler life, and reducing maintenance call outs. www.boilermag.com

Testo

Testo is introducing a new domestic Bluetooth flue gas analyser, the testo 320. It is a high-quality measuring instrument for complete flue gas analysis, including ratio, CO, O2, CO2, efficiency, excess air and temperature. The analyser also measures draught, ambient CO tests, tightness and letby tests, gas pressure, ambient air and flow and return temperatures. The testo 320 allows heating engineers to carry out all measurements in and around heating systems with only one device. Its wide range makes it a reliable partner for eliminating malfunctions, monitoring legal limit values or for daily routine work. Standardised menu structures simplify operation and the high-resolution colour display enables detailed presentation of measurement procedures. The testo 320 flue analyser offers the possibility to connect to Android smartphones and tablets. www.testo.co.uk

Dutypoint

Dutypoint has expanded its Element range with an ultra high performance unvented cylinder for boosted hot water systems. For the high-end residential and light commercial markets, the new WRAS Approved Element cylinder has a higher specification and capacity than other similar products available. It starts operating at 4.5 bar, reaching a maximum of 6 bar; it is the perfect solution for properties with a greater demand for high pressure and high water flow. Each cylinder has large 28mm inlet and outlet connections for a high flow rate. They are available in a wide range of capacities from 80 to 500 litres. The cylinder can be paired with the ScubaTANK to create a fully-integrated high pressure system for maximum performance. Each cylinder includes 60mm insulation which significantly reduces heat loss and energy use, while a 22mm diameter stainless heating coil ensures fast reheat times. www.dutypoint.com

Stokvis

This year’s UK Construction Week at the NEC on October 10-12 will feature the latest from Stokvis Energy Systems, including its R600 and R40 Evolution ranges of gas boilers. The Econoflame R600 Evolution offers outputs from 142 - 540kW due to the patented downward firing, pre-mix burner and stainless steel heat exchanger, while low weight, compact dimensions let it pass through standard, single leaf doorways. The R600’s seven models are available for stand-alone or cascade installations and ideal for high rise, communal heating applications. The R40 Evolution range features six models delivering between 56 - 138kW, which can be combined for a capacity of 1,102kW. It also features a single or double helix stainless steel heat exchanger using low water volume and excellent flow characteristics. Seasonal space heating efficiency is 92.5%, with an NOx Class 6 rating. www.stokvisboilers.com

SAV Systems

SAV Systems’ AirMaster mechanical ventilation with heat recovery units has been installed at the University of Edinburgh’s student radio station. Mechanical ventilation was required and AirMaster units were specified for their ability to meet strict performance criteria, including very low noise levels during broadcasting, and demand controlled ventilation to align fan operation with variable occupancy levels. AirMaster delivers inherently quiet operation (35dBA at 1m) which can be further reduced by lowering fan speed. In addition, the units can attenuate external noise by at least 49dB. Each AirMaster unit is controlled through an Orbit control panel, using integrated CO2 sensors to monitor indoor air quality and modulate ventilation rates. The AirMaster units are fitted with M5 air filtration to protect occupants from external pollutants. Filtration of incoming and outgoing air safeguards heat exchanger performance. www.sav-systems.com
